4x8 Loft Tent 600w HPS + LED Adivce KINGBO vs Meizhi vs Mars vs Verispecta

I have a loft setup and been successfully growing using a 600w hps in a 1.2x1.2m tent. (1.8m high loft tent)

I am upgrading to a 1.2x2.4m tent (1.8m high loft tent). From my reading a x2 600w HPS will be just about ok in this area. I dont want the high electric and heat issues so cant add two 600w hps.

I plan to use one 600w HPS and two LED lights side by side as the images. Will my idea work or am i dreaming ? If it will work which LED would be best KINGBO vs Meizhi vs Mars vs Verispecta.

I am on a budget so must be one of KINGBO vs Meizhi vs Mars vs Verispecta and not the mega expensive

I was thinking
600w HPS
x2 600w Kingbow

If you're on a budget, your best option is a pair of 600s with sealed hoods with an 8 inch fan pulling on them.

Don't waste your money on any of the crappy lights you listed. If you insist on buying a cheap blurple, then probably just go with the Vipar. If you want to step up to a nicer LED, you might want to look at options from Timber or HLG.

And if you're somewhat handy, then you can always take a trip down the DIY rabbit hole. Go check the LED subsection of the Indoor Growing forum for that.

I am in the UK and need something fast . I really thought one 600w hps and two of the cheaper LEDS would work
If you're in a rush and on a budget, then do what you gotta do. But personally I'd just run 2 600s over the lights you're picking from.

That Kingbo light you're looking at is 240 watts. A pair of them will put out almost as much heat as a single 600, and their spread is shitty.

The light I linked to with the Citizen cobs are much better lights, they are similarly priced, and they're also 240 watts. This is a much better option for you. For now, hang the 600 in the center and start your grow. Contact Hortibloom - They're in China, but the owner tends to get back to emails fairly quickly and he speaks decent English. Ask him if he ships to where you are and how long it will take. A friend of mine here in California ordered a pair of them and he had them in a week.

Or don't take my advice, buy those shitty blurples, and then live with the regret that comes from buying crappy, inefficient lights.

Thanks Jonny . So whay you are suggesting is one 600w hps and one hortibloom grow bar or two ? They done have a veg or bloom switch or just run all the way the same. Are you sure this will be better than the KINGBO vs Meizhi vs Mars vs Verispecta option ??

I'd put the 6 in the middle and the Luma bar lights at either end. Should provide adequate coverage.

And yes, again, these are much better lights than your original choices. Spread is better, they're more efficient, and they put out more light. You don't need veg/bloom switches. Their spectrum is similar to HPS and they can be used for both veg and bloom.

This is my last post in this thread. If you still end up buying those shitty lights, then that is on you.

Don't rush into anything, take time to look around the LED section, you will notice 95% of us don't grow with those blurple things,

Jack you will see we mostly use white light these days which has a fuller spectrum than red and blue diodes.
White light like those hortibloom fixtures which currently are your best bang for your £ by a big amount.
Its also a lot more efficient , you will get far more light per watt and the parts wont burn out after a grow or two either.

Take a long look though this thread and see what folks are doing with similar lights.

Hi Jonny

Thank you for your reply and i am listening. I have made contanct with the seller. Just want to know what you think of option 1 or 2 . With option 1 will i get a good yield ? option 1.jpg option 2.jpg

I feel the square option would be a better spread than the bar? https://www.hortibloom.com/product-page/luma-p4-cob-led-grow-light . I Dont want to much on the electric bill but dont want fluffy weed

No. Get the Luma bars. They have a better spread.

Stick the 6 in the middle, and put the bars .3 meters from each end of the tent/room. This should give a decent spread.

Aw shit. They must have sold out of the bars.

My link now goes to the 4 way(square) cob unit you posted. Too late? They probably sold out of the bar lights. the square shaped 4 cob lights don't offer the same coverage, but they are still miles ahead of the lights you listed in the OP.

I know I said it before, but I'm officially out. Good luck.

I managed to grab a bar, they seemed to have them in stock. All the various COB configurations were available. https://www.hortibloom.com/product-page/luma-b4-cob-led-grow-bar

Bro, get 2. They are like 1/3 the normal price. This is a DEAL.

Thank you for working with me on this. Please see option 1 and 2 . I really only want to use option 1 due to electric and heat issues . But if its going to produce shit weed then may have no choice but to go for option 2. What do you thin everest_dope ? Or do you have any other suggestion for my 4ftx8ft space
