4x4 veg tent: what lighting?

I plan on having two tents, one for vegging and one for flowering. first off, is a 4x4 enough area for 2 - 3 mothers, 3 early vegging, 3 late vegging, and x clones freshly cut?

Assuming it is correct, can anyone help me with T5 lighting. How much I would need, and what would be the best way to organize it. I would like it to be in 3 different sections so i could raise and lower each light accordingly to what's beneath it.

how much room do thing would be necessary? I wouldn't intend for the mothers to get all that big, and everything else is relatively small. I couldn't make up my mind about it.

I'd think you'd want to give your mothers and clones a separate tent as well and then it might be alright...what kind of lights are you using tho:eyesmoke:

T5's

Is there any problem to having the mothers and clones in the same tent?
It just seems it will be quite cramped with 6 other plants in a 4x4 area. But I'm not an expert :) Plus, I like to let my mothers get bushy so that I can have my pick of strong healthy clones.

Tents are a bitch to move around in as well. and you'd be accessing those plants in there quite a bit if your vegging 6, having 3 mothers to take care of and some clones as well. maybe a 4 x 6 i wanna say a 5 x 5 but i think that would be a little cramped

Plenty of room. I've got a 4x4 and can fit 8 flowering ladies and my carbon filter/electrical corner. I'd recommend 2 sets of lights. One over mothers and the other on your lil' ones. I can change the setup and have 3 flowering ladies along with my plastic garage table with numerous lil' ones, if I so choose. Will shoot a pic for you in a few.

Trust me I would rather build my own room, but being a student means im in a different rental house yearly. Not to mention i cant really build things like that in a rental easily.

Is there a way I could fit enough T'5 while having 3 different sections. One for the mothers, 1 for early clones, 1 for late clones? So the light is as close as possible to each one? Maybe I should use tables... hmmmm

Any opinion on this: http://www.plantlightinghydroponics.com/sunlight-44-agroled-t5led-combination-fixture-p-3416.html

a 4x4 is a good amount of space to house mothers and clones in. the misinformation that gets passed around here is too funny to even be true. as for your question, i would suggest a 4' 8 bulb t5 fixture and a couple of 250-300w cfl bulbs for your clones.

I wasn't saying it can't be done. i was just saying it would be uncomfortable (claustrophobic imo) a separate spot for the mothers and a 4x4 tent for veg would be perfect cause you would be able to let them get pretty damn big.

i dig where you're coming from, but i noticed that no one asked what size pots he planned or how long/big he was trying to veg them to/for. all i seen was just flat out that a 4x4 wasn't enough space to house mother's and clones, which is very untrue.

no beef with you Big Tree, but felt i should put that out there.

My plan would be to harvest 3 plants every 2 months. So 3 early and 3 late plants in both stages of flowering and vegging. 12 in total. At that point I would have enough legal room for another 6 plants larger than 1'x1' but not flowering. I can also have unlimited plants under 1'x1' and not flowering (boatload of clones pickin out the healthy to continue). So far that 3x3x3x3 was the most logical system i could put together with my restraints.

It agree that a 4x4 could be pretty tight. but I dont think too tight just yet. It would all depend on how large the mothers would need to be to get this to work.

Sorry no pics yet. I took a video last night but can't upload. I'll take the pics this afternoon when lights are on. I had 5 ladies that were put into veg for 1 month then flowered. Got 2 oz per as a first timer. I have only one lady now,2x3 table, carbon filter/electrical corner and 2 stools for sitting in my 4x4x6.5 tent.

Ya you definitely can get some grade A from tents wasn't saying you couldn't, i just don't like how tight and flexible they are, once ya climb inside you know what i'm talking about. had a 12 pot ebb and flow in a 5x5 and it was just a pain in the ass lol could pull some serious results just a pain in the ass
