Looking good. I'm keeping an eye on your grow. I'm doing a four strain sativa grow soon and Barney's Acapulco Gold is one of the strains I'm growing.
Good Luck and Happy Growing

Hey thanks man, things have been going pretty well all things considered.

There is some pheno variation, I've got one that's more indica and gunna be a big yielded, one more sativa that's frosty as fuck, and a couple 50/50 that show independent traits. All look nice though.

This strain is pretty forgiving with heat, my leaf temps have been peaking in mid 80s and still growing strong, although I'm working on bringing it down some.

I was actually just checking the ducting and noticed some of my foil tape sealing the duct to exhaust fan had come loose so I sealed it back up proper. That would explain my spike in temps last week possibly.

Also, I've decided I'm going to dabble in led and try out these bridgelux Eb strips. Just trying to work out the design of the frame.

Anyways dude thanks for chiming in and le me know if you got any tips for me.

Week 4.

Things are going smoothly were at about a month of flowering now (5 1/2 weeks or so since flip) and the buds are swelling and gaining crystals.

Working on getting an Eb strip set up in there to help with temps. Ordered two meanwell 320 1050 drivers and twelve 44" Eb strips. They should arrive this week, will probably have to wait until next weekend to build though.

Was taking a good look at the girls and one is a hermie, think I'm gunna pull it.
Re arranged my cords/timer a week ago and must've pushed a few pins in when I did it, because the next day or possibly two days later I realized my light was on later than it should've been.
Probably added 2.5 hours extra light.
And to top it all off I switched nutes and burned the girls. Caused multiple lockouts real quick.
Gave a good water til runoff with tap water and stopped the damage. Will let them dry out then do a half feeding of old nutes and water til runoff again.

Somewhat rough week!

Any thoughts on pulling the hermie?
Prob gunna do it tonight.

Pulled off all the nanners I could find, gunna leave it a week and check up on it.
Hoping for the best but it's not like the tent isn't pretty crowded as is.
I'm sure I still have 5 more weeks to go though.

Decisions, decisions.

I see some clawing in the pics.. Are you still giving them Nitrogen ? Clawing can due to Nitrogen abundance. I like to cut out N, in flower. Some strains like it but most don't.

Ya man part of the reason I tried switching up nutes was because the set I was using was high in n for flower, I've since lowered the n dose a bit.

Hey man. I'm growing a couple of Acapulcos in a 2x4, one of a more indica phenotype and one very sativa. The more indica canopy was about 6 inches lower than the sativa, and it hermed with VERY little light stress in week 5 of flower. Guess they tend that way lol. I went nuclear on it, since the other girl is going steady and showed no stress at the time despite being much closer to the lamp

Hey man yeah I found it surprising how easy that one hermed. And it seems they're fox tailing too.
I had another problem roughly the same time where I burnt them, switched nutes and wasn't careful, gave 100 percent right off the bat.
So I've definitely shot myself in the foot and lost some time. I'm gunna order a digital timer tonight actually!

Hows your grow doing? Got any pics?

Wouldn't have expected the foxtailing! That's too bad. I'm about to suffer from the opposite problem - My tent is in a garage with two cars that are moved in-and-out on the daily, and it's currently -5C outside and getting colder (Alaska). We'll see how she deals. I'd be happy to box some of our cold air up and send it your way!

Also yeah, digital timers are a godsend lol.

Here's the two girls about 4 weeks into veg - The "more indica" on the right side has been topped and trained twice at this point.

Here's a stalk from the one that hermed just 3 days before spotting the first banana :/

Despite the herm, I still think it's a great strain - This one still managed to produce a couple ounces of surprisingly potent dried product, with a very strong odor.

Here's the one remaining plant about to start week 9:

Had to swap the 600W LED for a 400W HPS to keep her from getting too stressed, but she's filling out well. This is my first grow in this tent and my first fairly sativa strain, and I just wasn't prepared for how much this plant stretched (more than 300%) - There were multiple emergency supercropping sessions.

Oh boy your week 9 pic is frosty as fuck and I love the big swollen calyx's on that thing.
Looks like your doing an awesome job, plant looks quite healthy, I could learn a thing or two from you!

... And I'll be waiting on my shipment of fresh Alaskan cold air!

Cheers

Plants are nutrient locked out, been having a lousy month and its showing in all aspects.
Had a friend call it quits a month ago and my heads been up my ass ever since.

On the bright side I got my led build done,
600w of Eb strips. No more heat issues.

With the lockout I noticed the leaves were dying that were closest to the light, does that make sense?

Anyways I got my fingers crossed I can pull out of this 20171028_203241.jpg 20171028_203212.jpg
