I found the intended scrog nets to be next to useless as well. Ended up using metal grate instead. i got 4x4" small gauge fencing panel and cut it to 110cmx50cm for a 2x4 and slid it up and down using ties depending on height. I found the sgrog nets have huge holes and the netting is under next to no tension leading to way too much distortion. You're right about the net - squares are way too big and not not enough tension to be effective. You really wanna pin the thing down every day to grow sideways from a young age (i.e. put the screen 8" above the pot and keep the squares at 2.5"). I normally do 3 x plants in a 6 x 2 x 4 space so scrog is the only way. It averages 26-28oz depending on the strain under 2 x 400 hps. Flower space isn't ready yet so I'm trying 2 plants in the 3 x 3 veg tent. They have the same issue as you - really tight node spacing. Think it'll be fine though, just have to veg a week or so longer and keep training
6x2 is the footprint I want to move to next. 4x2 just ain't cutting it. I found cheap 180x60x200 tents for $85ish so I might step up and join you in the triple plant club lol.
