do you think its good or bad that my new soil is very...."cushiony" like really soft bubble i can push on it and it feels like air... but springs right up when let go..... . i just went ahead and waterd after there new homes(this will be permenant.. i am fixing to just leave them alone and only peep in and quit fin with them and maybe ill be able to smoke before next christmas..haha

well here is my four plants under a 150 watt hps just to show you the difference between your lights and mine these are 3 weeks old and look great my first grow i didn't know about the separate pot rule but when i found out it was to late anyways all females white widow about 6-8 inches in height i tied them down to separate them a little

I'm just suggesting just now. Add two 27W 2700K cfl's and one 42W 4500K cfl. You be good to go.
Mine are with 3 27W and 2 32W both spectrums warm and cool. heres some pics and new group was formed for us ghetto growers. Interested let me know.PEACE OUT,

the 'soft white' or 2700k cfl bulbs are much better at flowering plants than the 4 foot tubes you have there. I've pulled 2 ounces out of a 1 sq foot box with 6 of those 23 watters, and other ppl do much better than that with them.
also, the 6500k 'daylight' cfl bulbs are good for vegging, will keep the plants more compact then the soft white ones. the one in your pic is soft white.

whats t5 and where do you see this info on the bulb?
I grow with T5's. T5 means 5/8 diameter bulb, that's all. You probably have T8s there 1" diameter. T5's are much more efficient than other fluorescents. When used with individual reflectors on the bulbs, they perform nearly as well as HID lights. They are on the expensive side tho, both for hardware and bulbs.

so i cant put the smaller diameter bulb in the housing i got??? are these good enough to flower with?

No, it looks like you have a standard T12 shop light fixture, which are currently obsolete most everywhere. The T12 has been replaced with the much more efficient T8, and as the previous poster said, the T5's are even better in this application. Some T12 fixtures, such as yours, will accept T8, but not T5. You will need to upgrade to a 4 or 8 tube T5 fixture which when coupled with a high output ballast can produce as much as 20-30,000 lumens per unit. That would be your best bet, and you can find these fixtures on eBay (just put in T5 grow light).
