I'm looking forward to the next round, whenever it happens.

I think I may try out one of my personal crosses, a Love Potion #1 leaning AL male crossed with a fantastic Hash Plant. I've yet to grow this cross out, so I could fall on my face, or produce a cup champion. ;)

once every one votes, I agree with chron about the point system. That should make it easier. I spoke to Darryl from ig earlier today and let him know its over. Gator knows its over. Once its all tallied up then y'all get your prizes. The winner hosts the next comp.

fyi inda gro will be at the kush expo in Anaheim Ca July 5th and 6th. Any riu-ers will get a discount code for any purchase if any of you stop by the booth. Tell them Hyroot sent you. Oh and Chaz should be there too. I'm going to try and make it as well.

what does everyone use for camera? anyone use there phones? ive heard before not to use ur phone to post. i need new camera! however i did find nifty cheap way to take macros with camera and phone, course phone still way better

I used my phone for some pictures, and an actual camera for others. But I meta scrub all my pictures before posting them. There are apps for phones that can do this for you. Its handy.

My phone pictures arent as good as a real camera, but sometimes you gotta use what you got on hand.

It "scrubs" EXIF metadata from your pictures. If you have a smart phone, it automatically adds information to your pictures when you take them, ie: geographic location, your phone's ID, even your name, sometimes. You'd be surprised how much information is stored with the pictures you take on your smart phone.

A Metadata scrubber is software you can use on either your computer, or there are apps for your smart phone you can use, they remove "scrub" all of the information from the picture, so it doesn't trace back to you in any way.

Sure, but they have to be actively investigating you to go after your ISP... when you scrub your pictures of metadata, you're just taking precautionary steps so that pictures don't come back to bite you in the arse. Its probably not as big of a deal anymore, since cannabis is coming into age, and the enforcers aren't wasting their resources on busting small timers growing their own medicine.

I've been doing this ever since I actually looked at the metadata from one of the pictures taken on my phone...and, to my horror, found it was attaching my RW name and coordinates...don't want that info being pushed out to the Interweb every time I post a picture.

While I make sure there's no metadata, and use a proxy to hide my trail, or at least make it harder for them to casually grab my IP. There is really not much of anything to worry about unless you're not legal AND give them other reason's to investigate you. It would have to be pretty significant, I know the process they have to go through to get data from an ISP, it's not a cake walk to do it legally (meaning hold up in court if you have any decent lawyer). Sniffing traffic like the NSA is not legal and would never hold up in court without other significant evidence, even if they did try, if you could show the source lead (or more accurately, have them prove it being obtained legally) being gathered illegally you can get it thrown out. There's really not much to worry about for the average personal grower, legal or not. I prefer to take some/easy precautions but that's just paranoid, inbred hippy shit, never trust "the man" - lol When they brought this site back up I queried support and they stated that they do not capture IP's in their logs which is a good defence and practice, no logs, no hacks that can get at them, including government, police, or just a hacker trying to cause shit. Grow on folks...

Im confused do you want public input or not? Chron said yes but hyroot (jimjims replacement, so he makes the rules right?) said that was it was just you party cuppers voting on it so idk lol.

I dont care two ways to sunday whether we open the voting up to all RIU members or just the Cuppers. But it probably would help voting if all the pictures from each contestant were placed together with a straw poll, so people could simply vote.

But, a deadline for voting is a worthy consideration.

I say just the cuppers vote. I'll go through and pm everyone who is lagging. Also I'd say Mon 30th should be the deadline. Then we can have a full month for registration. Then start the cup by the 1st of Aug.

Im definitely getting in on this next one, extenuating circumstances kept me outta this one. Those prizes are to legit not to toss a seed in a cup and c how it pans out. No offense to you guys, Im sure some of you put effort into it like hyroots plans to make a super party cup lol.

I like the sound of that, ill try and see if i can let you know about maybe putting a prize in for the next cup too. Ill know more hopefully by the end of today.
