4th Official Party Cup Grow off Update Thread

Here's my first update. 5/5 popped the soil, although my contestant #5 is a little slower to pop its head above soil, and is behind a day or two. I'll see about whether to keep it or not. If it is a runt, it may bow out of the contest early, but we'll see. Other ones look nice and stretchy...LOL.

Oh, and I forgot to mention in my initial update, that this strain is a 9-10 week'er.

Interesting to see how my setup does from sprout onward. I've never used my LED/T5 combo right from the start before. I usually have a bank of T5's that I use for veg, and the other light combo has been only used in flower.

I thought I would start getting things squared away, one big question came to mind- Can I use the '51 SGS over my partycup, w/ the swtich between AW and WR. Single light source, just a switch option. eh, ehhhh? There's plenty of arguments in both directions but no questions I will respect your wishes Master Jimbob.

Genuinely sorry for double post...pfft. IMO it should be 'flower mode' 12/12 from beginning. I have a big ass 860w CMH I have to put mine 4' from...don't read that part Cocopuffer. That's a big part of this challenge and will separate the Psuubs from the skilled.

Auto's don't do well with 12/12 from seed , so your better off that it got eaten..........once your little seedling gets bigger, fill up that party cup to the TOP with soil^^^.......more soil= more roots===more bud.

These competitions always come down to GENETICS as the biggest factor! So don't stress bat boy.....NL did well for me last round with a 1% phosphorous vegan fertilizer. Skill and ferts has little to do with winning it

Not doing to bad, watering about every 3 days..

its to cold in there. Ladybugs are trying to stay warm. They go into hibernation mode if it gets colder than 64 degrees.

Or they migrate upstairs...I see em in the kitchen and bathroom a lot. I have maybe a handful left in my tent. 'Mr. Ladybug' holds his ground and pounds...as you can see in my pix.

if you keep their nectar in the tent they will always come back to the tent. if i wasnt using air injection soil grow i would have lady bugs and nectar to eat any bug larva that tries to grow. man i jsut watered my plants i have a co2 generator running and im kinda light headed jsut being in the room 5 minutes. i rushed cause i knew the co2 is 1500 or more in their. i wouldn't want to stay in their 10 minutes. monday the generator will run out and then i can do my maintenance. change water/clean bowl/rotate ect. every 3 days i also have to feed them molasses again been 2 days.
