4ftx2.5ftx5ft 600w To Much????

<br><br>Wassup everybody.. well this is my first time posting here but ive been around just reading and learning. Not to long ago just finished my first outdoor grow didnt come out to good due to not knowing enough was using some wack ass nutrients..but now that i know what i got to use and sorta got the idea of wat i got to do to get some decent budz..This is going to be my first time growing indoors..Well about a week ago i builded the growbox im going to use to do my S.o.G in..Basically i have everything except for the lights and fans or watever im going to need to keep my room cool with that 600w im going to have in there. So wat i wanted to know if a 600w will be to much for that space or would it be fine as long as i keep the temp down??&nbsp; lots of help would be appriciated thx<img smilieid="198" class="inlineimg" src="https://www.rollitup.org/images/smilies/bong7bp.gif" border="0"><br>

A 600 is probably a bit much but it wwill still work fine. Your biggest issue is going to be to keeping the heat down. Lots of fan.

as far as too much light... definitely not, probably a little overkill but as long as you keep temps down it'll be great... no reason not to use a 400w, i think a 250 would be "adequate" for that size

I'd use a 4ft, 4-lamp T5 in that space.

but isn't true the more light the fatter budz you will get or something like that or i think is like and increase in yield??

Yeah, but 600w is overkill. You'd be better off with a couple 150s. Some plants don't like so much light anyway.

ok so decided to forget about addin the mother room in the box..im just going to build a separate one so i could have more space for my clones. is 4ft x 2.5 ft x 5 ft would a 600w be good enough or wat should i do..need some suggestions please..thx

600 watts is perfect for 12sq ft.
you want 50watts per sq ft

Whoever convinced you of that has you by the balls.

Only a flowering plant could possibly need all those watts.

Naw u suck..im askin that because the space is going to be a little bigger so idk if the 600w wil cover all the space i need thats y im askin.. i did say i am doing sog...im only veggin for 5 days then imma turn 12/12 light to flower

i dont know about that one. i have never come across a strain that doesnt like much light.

and to answer your question razer, yes the 600 will work awesome. fat, tight buds. the more lumens you can get in your room without causing heat buildup the better. you just gotta supply ample of everything else as the plant will be in supercharge mode...

yea im trying to find a good fan that will be able to cool the room...not sure though what kind i should get still debating on that one..

i got a similar size room im in the process of putting together right now, im going to go with ECO PLUS 4 INCH 170 CFM INLINE FAN and add a fan speed controller so i can turn that fan down to make it less of a wind tunnel, maybe something similar to that fan... heres some pics of whats been done so far just to give you some ideas, im waiting on the fan, i got a one way draft blocker i picked up at the hardware store(its used on dryer vents) to connect the duct from the intake outside and to attempt to minimize the smell a little bit if theres a chance of a draft from opening and closing the room...
ill post some pics after i get the exhaust hole for the fan, this one might be a little tricky...im dealing with a small area at the top where the fan is going to be, along with the awqward 2x4s on the outside of the room in the attic

yup... mclovin is right..all plants love light thats how they live.. a 600watt sounds like a good time to me go 4 it bro...im makeing a cab thats going to have 2 400watts in it and its only 2x2x4...nice budds

thats good to hear that 600 is good then im definatly going to for the 600 then. now i was thinking how many plants am i going to be able to fit in there for my sog grow..i think i might go with 6'' square pots and puttin 16 plants for sog im most likely going to veg my clones for two weeks then switch em to flowering to finish my babies...wat u guys think u think i could put more plants wiht the space i got of 4ftx2.5ftx5ft...im shooting for at least an oz for everyplant...well thats wat i heard thats possible with sog plants..not sure though...and nd i forgot to mention its going to be grown in soil and all organiccs...with some that homemade co2 bottle i seen in the grow faq...

16 plants sounds good u can havest 2 every week or 4 every 2 week in a sog..thats what im going to do...whats nutes are u going to use???

yea i was going to do that to harvesting every two weeks.....cause im a heavy smoker so i need my budz...buy im using all foxfarm nutz all 6 with some bat guano lots of it.. and some sweet leaf for carbohydrates during flowering so it could have a nice taste to it. wat r u using...im not sure wat kind of soil....im either going to make my own organic soil or imma use the foxfarm one not to sure yet
