48 hour dark period

The Jury is still on the end dark period?
But imo a dark period at the beginning gets them into flower mode a bit quicker.
On the last veg day the light goes off as normal and stays off for 24/36 hrs before the light starts on 12/12.

It might just be me and I might well be wrong I don't mind admitting but I've found the tech spec isn't worth the paper it's written on, ofter weed with the high thc/cbd wasn't any better than one with less % I just ignore it now, i don't dispute there's changes but I can't detect them in the smoking, thats been from cutting day 1 and preparing the crop over a week sitting in the dark, through laziness tbh I really dislike that job but it all smokes the same ime.

I tend to harvest just before lights-on, but even that isn't a hard and fast rule.

Ultimately adding an extra-long dark period before harvesting can't make enough difference to be worth worrying about. THC and other terpenes % content increases steadily over the final weeks of the grow, it doesn't fluctuate wildly from day to day.

So this is the sort of thing that will make only fractions of a percentage difference, if any.

It all depends on your watering schedule and when you plan to harvest. If you don’t give your plants 48 hour darkness then it doesn’t really make a difference whether you water or not before harvest.

In the past i waited until the pots were dry to harvest. The plants have a bit less water in them so they dry faster and less risk of mold. BUT in the past Ive had issues with drying to fast so Im thinking maybe moving forward I will start harvesting a day or two after watering while they are still well juiced up.

100% broscience. Yes the plant produces THC during the dark period, too long of a dark period and the plant stops waiting to photosynthesize again before it can produce more.

Thank you all for advice!
I’m going to leave it in darkness for 24 hours without feeding tonight.
So I will be harvesting tomorrow afternoon on Christmas Day!

but would 2 more days of light and another watering be better? these are the struggles you must accept. what is even going on ya'll? are we chopping are we not chopping is it going to be better tomorrow? we just can't say. how about we arrange some crystals and special rocks around should we point them at them weeds for crystal concentration or point them away so they draw the bad spirits out and away. what if we yin yang some of the crystals and special rocks so they have different levels of flow? what if we put them into a mirrored pyramid for 4.20 hours while dumping a co2 tank into it with one of those led edison lamps flickering about? or harvest at your predecided date and throw into a tumble trimmer. whatever choice you make you're a weirdo and you need to accept it.
