46w CFL s

Well, i just put in two 46w CFL putting out 2700 lumens each, Will these be enough light to grow about 8 plants. I also have a 250w MH/hps. I am hoping the extra CFL.s i put in will be enough to priduce a good yeild? Any ideas if sufficient?

For that many plants... I'd get more light if i were you. 6 smallish (oz) plants under a 400w is asking a bit too.

Get more light if you can.

When going with CFLs, pack as many in as you can. I have 6 46 watters and 6 23s in my box. What you've got will probably get you through veg... slowly... but wont grow any good buds.

Is the 250 watt HPS turned ON?

My MH is on 250w with the 2 46w CFL s. I was thinking i could at least get about 8 plants to yeild about 1 oz each. I built a sick grow box, at least i think its sick . its 4 ft tall. 4 ft wide, and 23 in deep. I already tried to fit 10 3 gal pot in their and it worked so i fig i would put 8 in comfortably. the temp is around 84 all day with one fan blowing in and a hole on top for exasut. the whole thing is mylared and seems not to be too humid. I fig with the box 8 plants would be good if i use only what i have. a friend of mine using same lamp does 4 plants w no ectra lights and still gets about 2 oz a plant. ....?

You will have to start flowering very early or the light wont penetrate. 2 ounce per plant under a 250 is a good effort. Is your 250 a MH or a HPS? You should read up on some Scog/Sog Growing this might give you a better yeild.

My light is a 250 watt mh plus HPS conversion ballast, and i have both bulbs. plus my 2 cfl s , i am going to actually make a mother, cloning box, and do the SOG method i am thinking. I have a mother now and am going to put her in a laundry basket lined w mylar and 2 small PC fans 2 in. each and make a lid with 3 46w CFL s, should be suffeicient to grow one mother. But will one mother produce enoguh clones. Maybe about 8 or ten every grow period. And should i have two mother st least? All im doing when im clning and using SOG method is cutting down the mother to size each time?

What does your HPS light put off for light ? (I'm going to assume 30-35k lumens) Plus 2 x 2700 lumen cfl bulbs... Grand total would be just under 35-40k lumens total 8 sqft total = 4-5k lumens per sqft... which isn't all that bad. Are you starting out with bad seeds or are you gong with known seeds? if bad seeds, then i'd grow out as many as you could fit until you could take a clipping and make 4-5 clones from each plant, flower the mothers and figure out what the best strain is... They say that 3k lumens/per foot is lowest you really wanna go. So i think you'd be fine w/ 5k if you were to refocus on mostly cola production.

I ordered some seeds over the summer, then i didnt really get into it, so i saved um till august when i planted some under a reg . light, then bought my MH/HPS. I have no seeds left but plan on ordering fem. seeds, anyone had any progress with these seeds?
