46 watt CFL grow. Mind-Explosion

So the story goes........Me and a friend grew this plant using ONLY two 23 watt CFL's both 6500k.

This one plant was in a fairly large closet, I would guess 6' X 10'

No fan through the WHOLE grow (yes the plant was leaning HARD lol), FFoF soil. and tap water. I wish I had more pics and info but this wasn't grown at my place, but I did supply the lights, soil, etc.

But none-the-less I just wanted to let it be known, you do not have to spend alot of money to get a descent grow.

Lol yea CFL's are definitely under-rated. I'm not positive on the final yeild as my friend decided to smoke some about 3-4 days AFTER he cut it down. HUGE fail on his part. I would guesstimate probably 5-7 grams COMPLETELY dried.

They were decently dense, not HPS or MH dense but you really can't complain for only using 2 23 watt cfl's and no fan, no nutes. Just soil, light, love, and water.

I also think he cut it down 1-2 weeks before it should have been cut down.

No offense intended and I currently grow all CFL, but for the time it takes to grow, for a quarter it isn't woth the hassle. More light means more yield. I wouldn't want folks to think that's all you can get from CFL.

It sure looks like more than a quarter to me unless they are super fluffy.

That pic was taken a day or two after it was cut down, and my friend and his "know how to do everything" friend told him to dry it in that container, WITH the lid on. (needless to say yes it started to mold) but im positive the bud had, VERY little if any time to actually dry, before the pic was takin so yes it does look like more.

Trust me, if it was MY plant, I would have done 85% better than he did, but you can't expect EVERYONE to listen to you.

P.S. I get all my info from this website, so if i'm wrong...

The point of me posting this was just to show folks that you don't have to spend xxx amount of dollars to get some quality smoke. I saw one of your journals and I wanted to know your opinion on how that 50 watt LED is doing? Would you recommend LED over CFL?
