Any mix using decent ingredients is going to be a winner. You could almost mix any soil from your local gardening center and be just fine. Fox Farm OF is really just a bunch of marketing. It's a well balanced soil, don't get me wrong, but you could create the same quality of soil using $6 worth of bat Guano. A $10 bale of Spagham Moss. $5 bags of a basic soil mix and soil amendment (like Kellog's brand). A $5 bag of Perlite. And a $5 bag of Vermiculite. Altogether, you end up with a great soil for $40-$45. And we're talking about roughly 10 cu ft. of soil that is atleast as good as FFOF, if not better. You would save about $15-$25 every time out, too.
To answer your question, though, still feed your plants on a regular nutrition schedule. From there, you shouldn't run into any problems.
