430W Son Agro bulb in 600W ballast.

Unable to find a 430W ballast, may I ask if it is sake and workable to plug a 430W Phillips Son Agro buld into a larger (600W) ballast?

I've been looking for two days either in the wrong place, or 430W ballasts simply are not made.

Suggestions?

search for a dimmable 600w ballast on google or ebay you can run the bulb at 450w

i amrunnig a 430w hps in a 400w ballast, works great

To answer the question. No a smaller bulb will malfunction in a larger ballast. You need this

600 watt unit will give major flexibility for veg and flower.

lumatek make a 600w dimmable ballast which allows u to dial in 400w...

I assume you can dial it into 430W for the Phillips Son Agro bulb?
