So, yesterday I had company over and we were all just sitting around watching the sun set off the porch sipping Mojitos, and the moon landings came up as a topic and much to my disbelief, one of my female visitors exclaimed she didn't believe it happened. I found myself chuckling at the thought of it all, and was wondering....

How many RIU'ers don't think we landed on the moon?

that first moon landing video is kinda suspicious, like it makes you question if its all a movie set and back drop. i might entertain the idea that the first moon landing might be bogus so we could supposedly beat the russians there but i do believe that we have been to space and the moon

I like to believe it happened. Do I know for sure??? NO. With everything the goverment is wiling to lie about, why not that? I do think that if it didn't happen there'd be more proof by know. I don't think that all those scientist would keep it a secret all these years.

I think they went to the moon, I dont see why people dont believe it. We have people living in space on the ISS. I think they could have gotten to the moon

I know we've been to space, but if we were able to land on the moon 40 years ago successfully then why haven't we landed there hundreds of times since then. I just don't know what to believe.

Whats the point? Its just a big barren rock. Once they got there and researched a bit there really isnt much left to do.

Well dont you wonder why the original footage of the moon landing was mysteriously lost? I mean something as important as the first landing on the moon and NASA just loses all the footage? Its because with todays technology you could break that fotage down and prove it was staged. Case Closed

yeah, he swears we didn't go to the moon because we can't gets past the gravity. so much for his theory. :eyesmoke:

He must still be wondering what keeps airplanes up in the sky!

It was amusing to listen to my guest go on about how it was all a big fake. I did not argue with her at all, since that is not the place of a host, instead i asked why she felt that way. Well, she was all, "they didn't do this, they should have done that". I then mentioned after awhile that from what I understand they had the computing power of a hand held calculator on board in technology. She quickly seized on this and exclaimed, "Exactly! What kind of ppl would even attempt to go all the way to the moon with just a calculator"!

I just smiled and agreed thinking, truly what kind of ppl indeed. Indeed.
