I have to agree with that. My last grow was DWC and they were about 13 inches when i flowered, topped. and they finished at nearly 4.5' tall. I was not expecting plants that large nor did I desire plants that large. It was a major hassle to change the water and all that jazz.

Crystal or what What strain is that?

It was a white widow clone that I grew last year. It was such a hassle to change out the reservoir. I never in my life thought it would get THAT large.

What was your yeild on that?

looking great man, looks like youve been reading! Tent looks nice and clean with filter hung and light lowered. keep it up man those plants are looking good.

Week 5 for my pineapple chunk shes growing nice and even not too bushy.. compare this weeks pic to last weeks and look at the difference! my other 2 ladys are doing well the one in the back is growing really tall tho hopefully i can switch to 12-12 in a week or two.. i hit the shorter one by accident thats why i think it slowed the growth a bit, shes been growing but obviously not as fast as the other one. also she has alot of leaves growing in the same area under the fan leaves is that normal ?

Guys my ph meter broke and this fucking powder ph is messing up my plants.. if i dont keep the ph at the right level whats the worst that could happen ? moneys a little tight right now so its gonna take me atleast a week or two till i get my liquid ph and a new ph meter

4 seem like too many for a tent that size. Especially when they stretch and start crossing shoots.

Didn't see a pump for res changes so its gonna be a pain for you and your plants to change buckets about 2-3 weeks into flower unless they are all shorties or autos. And since they are all in 1 bucket they might not get enough air to the roots to get very big.

It would seem to me one or two would yield as much as 4 set up like this because when they bush out they will be shading each other from the light and only a few top shoots will get the light they need.

I have 2 mediums in a tent and ran outta tent height after about 2 weeks into flower and had to tie them down into S shapes to keep the tops outta the light.

There are ph meters on amazon for like $10 bucks but they take 21 days to ship from Hong Kong.

If you cant check ph you should just run RO water and nutes. Better to be a little off than adjust ph to something hazardous because you dont have a meter.

Its easy to overshoot when adjusting anyway because the ph adjuster may take awhile to fully dissolve.

Osmosis is the passage or diffusion of water or other solvents through a semipermeable membrane that blocks the passage of dissolved solutes
In osmosis, a lower-concentrate solution will filter its solvent to the higher concentrate solution. In reverse osmosis, we are (literally) just reversing the process, by making our solvent filter out of our high concentrate into the lower concentrate solution. So instead of creating a more equal balance of solvent and solute in both solutions, it is separating out solute from solvent.

walmart has it about $1 a gallon. Better than tap water, if your water at home is high ph. But if funds are that short just use tap water and hope for the best until you can get a ph meter ASAP. Expect some deficiencies but they may be ok.

Did you test your tap water ph when it was working?

yea the ph was pretty high like around 8.0 would it be better to give them distilled water ?

distilled water has a ph of 7, so it would be better than your tap water.

or you can just give your tap water a bump of ph down, but that is kinda risky.

Has it been taking about the same amount adjustment the last few times you did it?

When you get a new meter remember to keep the glass ball wet. I keep wet toilet tissue in the cap of my ph pen. Leaving the pen on without water on the glass will fry it

yea they have i just didnt mix it right this time ima prolly still use it but only a little since i cant keep track of the ph

you have such a small res you should just always use distilled or ro water, especially in hydro. Hydro is like a fine tuned benz, you cant put unleaded in it! use ro water and with Adv.Nutes your ph shouldnt flucuate that much?

You maight have to add acid a few days later but since you got a small setup and relatively in expensive nutes just do a res change with fresh nutes.

ok but i have a 18g and 5g res u know how many gallons im going to have to buy to fill them up ? lol ill just use tap water and adjust it even tho thats not the best way.. also my pinapple chunk has some leaves with nute burn and are starting to curl (because of the powder ph) you think she'll recover ?

I have to buy my water in gallons for now! i lug 8 2.5 gallon jugs of arrowhead distilled,once a week! sucks but I got to! i use ebt to get my water as im a single dad.Its like 20 bucks a week!( i will be getting ro) you gota do what u gotta do the first grow then if you make it thru youll have meds and funds to go bigger and better.are you sure its not the tap water? ro machines are like 80 bucks,im just saying you wouldnt have to use ph up or down with good water,only after time when the plant starts using nutes u should have to adjust ph or just replace.

nah its not the tap water ive been using it my whole grow so far.. but out of distilled and ro water which ones better ? i dont think any stores around me sell ro water
