400W or 600W?

Let me be the first to tell you to consider getting a cooltube/air cooled reflector for it tho, I recently upgraded to a pair of cooltubes for my veg and flower tents and Iv now an average temp of 20-24C in my tent (no higher than 24C).

Your plants will love it, I find its really nice to have a grow with no heat stress whatsoever now.

I went to the local indoor gardening shop to buy a 400W light for my 3x3 growroom. The sales clerk convinced me to go with a 600W.
Is this a bit of overkill?
I've heard that there's no such thing as too much light, but there's the extra heat and electricity to consider also.
No such thing as too much light is true. However, there IS such a thing as too much HEAT.

How will you vent the heat?
FWIW, I tun two 600's....in my garage. In the winter, they provide enough heat to keep the whole garage at 70. In the summer, I run the lights at night to get it under 90.

In a 9 sq foot space....whew. Even a 400 would be damn

Oh well then, supercrop the shit out of those ladies then. Top, Top, Top, LST, Expand, MONSTERS, scrog will get you good results, but supercropping by topping the hell out of those plants will give you TONS of bud.
Lsting and supercropping eliminates the need for topping. Top too much and you can actually lower the yield on a plant by making it too branchy.

sounds interesting , i cant imagine a plant with too many branches, as long as the branch can be placed into the light, and all weak growth removed ,the more fat branches the better!

As long as you are able to support all of that. I dunno, i just think topping too many times is unnecessary.
