400w hps

is that too much for a space thats 36"w x 18"d x 36"h? i would much rather try to use a 400w hps in that space than anything else but if thats too much i could always use a 250w. i just dont want to have to resort to cfls. i know they work but id rather not,:leaf:

The 400 watt is a good choice...but you are going to have height issues as your ladies grow. Depending on the height of your grow (soil, hydro, etc.) and the height of the light and exhaust, you will have to make sure to grow shorter strains. Autoflowers and shorter indicas will work better. if you are going to use the 400watt, i would try to grow some indica's and then top them off later that might help the height issue alittle, but then they will get very bushy later

With that height limitation you will use up most of your growing space with the light and containers leaving you less than 2' of growing space. That 400w will TORCH plants and heat up the cab unless you have a cool tube
