400w hps questions

I would like someone to clarify:

1) decent light range (range to get dense buds).
2) mid-distance with and w/o a cooltuber

Think thats all..any1 got some answers?

i've a 1.2 x 1.2 x 2m secrec jardin tent 2 nl5 x haze a 400hps on 11 off 13 in my garage , i keep them oh at least 3 foot away from the lamp and try not to stress the leaves when its closer or indeed it slows the plants up ,i find if the back of your hand is uncomfortable then the plant won't like 12 hours being there too close either,

thanks for the reply I have this friend that was asking me if he can fit a 400w hps in a space like.. 60cm (l) x 40cm (w) x 150cm (h) or something.. I know he can control his heat in there with a cooltuber but I have not much idea about the distance it covers.. I think you want to aim for like 80cm from the lamp and closer (as close u can get w/o burning), but i told him i would get back to him on that if i see him around again.. Btw how stretchy is that nl5 x haze? whats the flower period and the high like?

400 - 430 good fir 4 x 4ft areal....
depending on air movement 18" at closet...

I have 600 in 2ft by 2ft area at 18" from plant.
