400w hps or 250 for my growbox???

Hello Everyone!

I'm in the process of getting my first grow underway. I've built a growbox that measures 36'L X 24'W X 60'H. The box will be in a walk in closet with the closet door open for fresh air to get in.

I'm not sure if a 400 will be too powerful or too hot for this size box. I sure like the results I've seen from others running 400 and the price difference between 400 and 250 is minimal.

I'll be running a Dayton 256cfm fan for air cooling the light.

Also I'm only growing for 1 person..Me!!

Should I play it safe with 250 or try the 400???

400 watt is the best for the long run

With a fan of that size and CFM's you should be easily able to get away with a 400W and the overall uses for a 400 w are much better than a 250 w. I planned on a 250 but ended up going for a 400 just for that reason alone, it gives you more options later on down the road.

I would def go for the 400watt!! It will give you way better results! And if you are able to vent it and have options to cool it was fans and a portable air conditioner if all else fails then I think it will be ok!

I'm in the same boat dude,I guess Ill go for the 400 watter.
Air cooled huh ,what design would be best?

I had a tent with the same dimensions and I chose the 600w...
