Looks roughly right - I would place a wedge to raise the lower ones to be the same height as the taller ones.

May go a inch or two closer? Can you place your hand at canopy height and leave it there?

dude way to many plants in there.u will see in about 5 weeks exactly what i just said.i grow in a 4x2 and packed it with 8 one time.there is a reason i only did it one time.i now run 3 with a 7 week veg.i crop on average 6-9 oz depending on strain.as far as your light goes there will not be enough to supplement all those plants. as far as the height of the light its fair, just dont loose your foot print.gl they look good so far

I agree with chum...I would drop down to 2 plants bc you can get the same yield off those 2, maybe more, that you would get off 8.

simple answer no, the setup could be better

really you want to pull air from outside the tent throw the tube/light and out the other side with a large 6" fan

this should remove most the heat and then you can drop the light 6" above the canopy ( top of the plants)

next want to have all the shortest plants under the tube and the tall plants parallel with the tube on each side( but keeping the light 2" above the tops of the side plants)
so it looks like a v shape ( may have to lift a few plants)

looking at your setup this should double your crops yield

hell yeah fellow 2x4' tent grower! 400w hps is enough but i'd move plants around constantly because the corners of the tent gets shaded. i ended up selling the 400w and get a 600w because it had more light to the corners of the tent.

Sorry guys didnt know any1 had posted, my riu app isnt properly working.... I do use a 6 inline duct fan ordered online with a higher powered fan, I figured the passive intake vents from the tent would be enough to cool the tube as it creates a good negative pressure in the tent, I use 9 5qt painters bucket So it will be hard to V shape them well in the tent but ill do what I can here n a bit and repost, had to make this post as I came from using a 400w led and 328w cfl together for flowering with awful results

And to urgod yeah I love the 4x2' tent but I noticed it is a problem with the 400w hps but I think I can do ok with it, want to swap it with my mother tent for the 400watter as my mother tent is a 36x36x6' but with me adding in 2x mainly sativa moms to see which I like best, I know 4 foot for a mom + light hanging, is way to small even for a trained sativa

Those plants at the edges could use more light. Try raising the light a few inches until they are getting direct light. I'd move the pest strip near the container... wherever stale air is would be a good place for the pest strip.

Well I was doing a larger scale sog with Small cups, similar to one I seen done with cfls, but I didnt like the outcome, bought the hps chose the best 9 Transplanted them to my 5 qt hempy buckets, and was gonna cull out the remainder but kept them to make sure none of the 9 shocked out, now I dont know whether to cull em or keep the tinies and justnlet em finish out seeing as they are about done stretchong now and devloping flowers

You're going to end up with a mess......I wouldn't put more then 3 plants in that tent and that would be with a weekly rotation to ensure the outside plants get equal light
