Yes sir.. 600 would be nice.. but I've only got a 2 x 2 tent myself.. got 3 plants in there.. I have the super lumens feature.. not sure if the extra 30 watt boost makes a difference but my bulb also has a warranty :D

Fox Farm trio, but I made some soil mixture with bio tone and some other stuff and so far they don't look like they need anything ;)

Ms. Flame the new ballast that I got is 400w not 600w, 600w would be too much in my box, rite now I'm running 400w but it's an old, heavy magnetic ballast so I thought a new ballast would be nice as for the old ballast it will end up probably under my bed or somewhere in the closet as a emergency light.

Ms.Flame if you want it, you can have it but you pay the shipping :P unless you're in IL, WI, IN or MI then it would probably cost nice chunk of change to mail that sucker. It weights around 20-30lbs

Yeah. I remember when 2ft by 2ft by 2ft flat rate boxes were like 15 bucks at UPS. but that was like 5-6 yrs ago. So sad. Now I pay like 8 bucks for a micro 8inx11inx2in.

nice ballast Acid :) how much in total did you end up paying for it if you dont mind me asking?

also you could have went with a 600w and just got a 400w bulb and dimmed it. then if you were able to expand your grow later on you would have the option to bump er up to 600w or if you wanted to toss it on 600w for the last 4 weeks of flower....anyways.

what did you end up getting your boy for his B-Day?

Matt everything ballast/wing/two bulbs came up to $145, they got free shipping on their products. So I'm happy with it plus you getting 3 year warranty so if anything goes wrong I know I got the warranty.

I want to get that 600w but after talking things over with my wife I got the 400w, we're not planning on moving out any time soon, so that means will be here in this house for around another 5 years, until our son finishes middle school (junior high), and in this house I only got space for two plants so I'm good with it.

Matt as for the gifts dude we spend like 340 bucks lol, we got him two RC toys one is a plane and one is a helicopter, a microscope, some new headphones for his xbox and wii, one year membership for xbox live some legos, some tools to catch bugs some pokemon cards (that shit is expansive), brand new soccer shoes + new uniform for his soccer games and some other stuff which I can't remember at the moment ;) Plus on the weekend we're going bowling, laser taging and some golfing.

I'm ordering blumats (you should google it) it's a watering system that doesn't take power and people say it is dead on... I'm pretty excited.

im getting them for spring break but I'm going to continue to use them. A few people have said that they do a better job of watering than hand watering...

sound slike he had a great B day, nice to have your B day around income tax time LOL my B day is in December so i always got the shaft on gifts :P

I bought the rigid ducting rather than the cheaper flexible plastic ducting and it seemed to help.. I also straightened out my run as much as possible. I also built a muffler around my fan as it seemed most of the noise was coming from it... helped a lot.

I bought a fan control but the voltage hum was louder and more irritating than the air flow noise..

That' insulated ducting would definitely cut down on the noise.. but It aint cheap....


Scratch that.. be thankful you live in the US where you don't get gouged for everything.. $22! Insulated ducting costs about $50.00 here..

I don't know if you guys can see it in the pictures but the CK is getting mild case of heat stress on one of it's branches the one that's closest to the light. It's not bad but I think I'll have to move the light up a bit if it gets any worse then that, beside the mild heat stress all is well as you guys can see, very easy plants to grow.

FCJ it's getting it's smell, its like floral, woody smell mixed with some earth tones. CK is just smelling like straight out kush very earthy! LoVe it :weed:

wow man looking awesome, im so jelous your so much further along than i am lol. i have at least 2 weeks before mine look anything like that!!

you have that grow box about as p[acked as it can get i see, what do you think about photoperiod plants vs autos?

A+ in mo book great work man...verry soon you will be harvesting them fat nuggies :)

Photos are the shit ;) But like you, I and few other people said Autos have their place in my "garden" after I'm done with this grow I'll be popping 3 freebie autos that I got on my last order, and they should be done before the summer heat wave arrives.

But I think it's well worth it to grow some photo plants, you can see the difference in structure of the plant, the amount of bud sites you getting and you can see the quality of herb you getting. So from now on I'll be growing photos and only be growing autos at the end of the season like now after this grow I'll have only time for some autos, then I'm taking a break for summer months and getting back at it as soon as it get a bit colder outside, or I'll just turn down the ballast and try to grow with 200w only, will see I still got some time to think about ;)

lookin amazing man! Good job! I chopped down the ak48, rocklock and la confidential yesterday, not a great deal of buds but man they stink and look so dank. Just bonged some one day dried lower bud of the ak48 and im still high after an hour. Pretty amazing using the bong on damp weed coz it acts as a kind of vaporizer, and the lighter just burns the thc off the damp bud! Can't wait to see these CK and FCJ girls of yours in a week or two, gonna be gettin fattttt :D :leaf:

That's awesome man! I'll let you live vicariously through me this summer. I'm pretty not excited about the heat but I might just turn down my ballast. I did some research and it doesn't change the spectrum of the light it only makes it weaker and if it did change it any it would be so minute that it would have virtually no effect. I'm really excited about all of this.
