400W HID, DWC, Blueberry-AK47-Bagseed

This is officially my first grow and my first post on this website. I used another website but thought I would use a more discreet name for my growjournal.
Alrighty, I'm on the 12th day from germination on 2 plants and those are both bagseed. I have an order coming in the mail and that is AK-47 and Blueberry, from High Grade Seeds those will be germinated as soon as I get em. I have 5 gallon buckets, that I use for my DWC, or bubble bucket system. I was using a 60W fluorescent until yesterday when I got my 400W MH . So now they are officially under MH. Pics will come later today. Although this is my first grow i've done alot of research before i started. All tips and help are welcome, and I hope you guys will follow along :joint:

Ok lil update..bad news.. My MH bulb already blew!! I was messin with my power strip/timer and it turned the light off then back on again, and when it turned back on the bulb never powered back up...it started gettin all hot and a small flame started in it, and eventually started burning the bulb. Luckily I have a HPS bulb so i'll just use that for now. That should be ok right? Both plants are kind of a test run before I get my Good seeds somtime this week. I know I stretched the hell out of them, that was because I wasn't able to move the Fluorescent light it was originally under, so it was sittin about 4 feet away for about 3 days. But now I have my 400 watter close enough right? I've heard many different things about distance with HID.

I just thought I would give some more info on what i'm using for nutes and stuff. Right now the plants are on the lucas formula because I didn't have my Grow, from AN. But now I have it so I will change back to the recommended dosage by AN. The rockwool that my plants are in were both soaked before I put the seed into them. With one I used just normal tap water that sat out for 24 hrs. The other one I Gave it really weak nutes right away. And it responded well!! The one that started with nutes the moment I put it in the rockwool is taller and the leaves are much broader. This is just bagseed so it could jus be the genetics, but i'm pretty sure the seeds are from the same strain. The HID light is running 18/6 for now. And i'm Also using my HPS bulb due to my MH bulb goin bad already. I got some great white i'm gonna add in like 2 days when I get some PH Down. My Ph is like 6.5 and I can't bring it down. I know this is real bad, but the roots arent through the basket yet so its still kinda being fed through its normal watering and not the PH high solution below it in the bucket. So I think I'm ok for now.

I started My grow journal on this website to get help, and tips. I already have an account on other websites but didn't want to have the name tied with a grow. So now my Journal is here on Rollitup.org where no one reads the journals.

Sucks about your MH bulb but the HPS will be fine as for how far away I'm not exactly sure but I always use the old hold your hand at the top of the plant for like 10 seconds and if it's too hot for your hand then its too hot for your plant.
