400w Closet SCROG~ Nice Strains

This past weekend my friend was able to grab my ballast and td150 from my house and bring it back to school.. I was probably stoned when I packed my car

I still have to decide if I want to veg these girls with my 400wMH OR a combination of 2or3 t5's above them with an additional 2 125w envirolites between the plants!!

I like the idea of the light penetration with the envirolites between the plants and the nice level canopy from overhead, provided by the t5's. That adds up to the same amount of wattage as a 400wMH so i'm pretty torn at this point..

I want to veg these girls no longer than 6weeks due to time restraints.. I will keep them in smaller pots and eventually transplant into 3-5 gallon buckets, where they will stay the remainder of the grow. if I decide to use the 400wMH.. I will use my 6"ducting to connect the fan(td150) to my cooltube then again to the carbon scrubber. In essence, cooling the bulb and filter the odor. For flower I will simply switch bulbs.. also with the addition of a SCROG screen.

This will be my first scrog.. and I want to do it well.

I want the screen to kindof contour the shape of the bulb/cooltube.. so from a profile view(side view) it would look like a longer "U" or a sideways parenthases "("..

I think this is the most efficient way to use the light and will allow for more buds to fill the canopy.

So Ive been tracking my order from Attitude, and I recieved an email from "Post Express Service".. saying my package has been returned due to incorrect delivery address, with a file attatchment for a delievery label. IT WAS A VIRUS!

After I completely rebooted my computer I tried tracking my package, and the post office said they will most likely recieve it today. What a hassle.

Lets hope I get them today and everything goes well..... lol

I took a ride to lowes an hour ago and bought some things to build my custom grow tent. This was an easy and affordable alternative to expensive name brand items. I just used pvc piping and I plan on covering it with pandafilm or something similar..

I feel like a child on Christmas! My seeds came in the mail today!!

I stopped at a local Hydroponics store for the first time today and grabbed some foxfarms ocean forest soil and a few small square containers for the first couple weeks of veg. I began germinating all seeds in damp paper towels inside sandwich baggies in my laundry room on top of th dryer for warmth and vibration to aid in cracking.

Cant waitt to start seeing some nice green fan leaves!!

All seeds have germinated- in small pots waiting to break through the soil!

So today I will be grabbing my 125w cfl for my small veg box. I plan on using this bulb/box for the first 2 weeks after sprout before switching to MH. I will return the 6500k bulb and buy two-125w(warm) bulbs to supplement my 400whps when I switch to 12/12 in my 4-5wk of growth.

I made a pretty simple box to to contain most of the light and added some light ventilation. Had all the supplies, took about 15 mins to make.

Good idea on the tent, I would like to see it when you're finished with it. Might have to make one of those myself.

So far, so good.

All seeds have sprouted except for Brainstorm.. White Widow is in the lead thus far.

I have this shitty CFL on them until I can go pick up my 125w vitalume later.. I'm sure they will love it.

Hopefully that light is there for me to pick up or Im guna be upset!

Hey everyone! I went out and grabbed that 125w bulb and stuck it in my box over my girls. They're stretching a lot more than I would have wanted, but I haven them as close to the light without burning them. So I guess we'll see when they start opening up some new leaves.

Unfortunately, Bubblegummer the free seed from UFO never sprouted.. So i'm down to five!

Im pretty relieved it was one of the free seeds and not the pick and mix I ordered.

Transplanted stretched seedlings into taller cups to get them closer to the fixture aswell as eliminate the stretch. I know the cups are CLEAR.. I will cover the sides when the time comes.

I was wayyy too impatient to wait, so I went ahead and setup my 400wMH!! That plus my 125w should do these girls well. I cant wait!

Is 16" enough space between the plants and the cooltube?

I also noticed the leaves on my vanilla kush are curling a little, they have a healthy color but just cul under.. im not sure if its a deficiency, too hot, too much water, or just the genetics of the plant. Any ideas?

ive got that same power/bulb in my vegg cab and this is my first grow.
pros and cons?

verynice my cab is always running high temps also I cant get em down I got cool tube 250cfm fan BLOWIN!! air through and 2 oscilation fans trying but temps stay at about 75-85 depending on time of day higher at the end lower in the beginning

So Im not really happy with vanilla kush's progress thus far. She is much farther behind in development. I think it may be due to her sensitivity to heat.. hopefully I can get this figured out.
