400hps/mh too hot in 4x4 grow tent HELP!

hey guys, i have a 4x4ft grow tent... just got a 400watt hps/mh light and the temps are climbing up to 90degrees. i have 2 4'' inline fans- 1 pushing fresh air in and one exhausing it out through a carbon filter. also have a 20'' box fan inside the tent mpoving air around. i think the problem may be that the 4'' inlines fans are not pushing/pulling enough air. an does using a cooltube help out alot? how much temp would go down using one of those? thanks!

Yea just use one fan to exhaust through the filter and make the intakes passive, this will take care of the air exchange in the room. Since you already own another fan invest the money in a cooltube and use the other fan as the intake/exhaust for the light.

I got 2 6 inch duct fans for my 400w hps. you can make it happen with 4 inches you just gotta do what atticrat said. Make negative air pressure in the room by making exhaust fans push out and let some holes take in the air it also sucks in. Do you understand? kinda verbose.

so i have one inline blowing air IN at the bottom, ad i have one thats sucking air OUT connected to he carbon filter. is that right?

You need more cfm's to remove the heat from the cabinet. I have 2 fans now a 165 cfm pulling trough a carbon filter & a 180 cfm pull the hot air from the hood of my 400 w hps light

That's what you need

No power baby!!

Good luck
