do you know the ingredients in that purple max stuff? I wish I could get those colours in organic supersoil! there must be a way!! Nice grow, nice pics, Merry Christmas!
I'm not sure what they put in Purple Maxx. I tried it on my plants solely based on stories I heard from friends and other growers. Whatever is in it works. It's really strong though so take caution so you don't burn your plants.

nice grow and thanks for sharing all your info! Im running canna bitoerra and canna bionutes, Im about to start bloom what should I add to the canna flores and boost? I have the pk 13/14, thrive alive b-1, org cal mag, technaflora humic acid, and there seaweed feed as well. but didnt know if theres anything else? Im also using canna bio nutes with soiless mix would the feeding be the same as the bioterra soil?

thanks man
From the day I switch to 12/12 I like to give my plants Open Sesame from FF or Bud Blood from AN to initiate early flowering. During the first couple weeks I feed them my base nutes 6ml/gal, open sesame 1/2 tsp/gal, thrive alive 12ml/gal, calmag 5ml/gal, humic acid 8ml/gal, protekt 2ml/gal, hygrozyme 8ml/gal, and roots excelurator 1ml/gal. I also add 5 scoops per 10 gallons of great white mycorrhizae once or twice a week until 2 weeks before harvest. I use diamond nectar humic acid instead of technaflora so application rates might differ on those products. I used to use boost but the cost to ratio output didn't make it worth while to keep in my rotation. I did controlled tests and saw some improvement but I was spending over $1000 per grow just on boost and it wasn't worth it. I only used the canna coco line so I can't comment on their bio/bioterra lineup.

I have 4 tents: a 4x4 for veg, a 3x3 for clones, and two 4x8 for flowering. I have a natural gas line running right through the room would a co2 generator be worth hookin up and how much would the start up cost be to feed those tents?
You are going to see the best response from co2 in your flowering room. Unless you have a crazy budget I wouldn't add them to your clone and veg tents because of the cost/effect ration. I honestly can't say what your start up costs would be. Find the cubic feet of your flowering tents and find a co2 burner that matches up with the specs. Then it's up to you doing research in the burners spec sheets to find out the rates of co2 used and multiply that buy the cost of gas added to the costs of the unit. If your room exhaust is passive you don't want to use co2 as it will be exhausted as it's made and you'll be wasting money.

sense I have the boost would this replace the open sesame? or the bio flores? Ill prob add most of the stuff your using cause your buds look killer! how long do you flush for and do you use straigh RO water or do add cal mag or anything at all?

firstly, this shit is epic. I will be watching like a hawk.

secondly, I understand passive exhaust as a system in which air leaves the tent without force (vents at the bottom or whatever. My 'intake' is ducting from a portable a/c unit and my exhaust is just a fan pulling heat from my closed hood thru ducting. So i feel like im kind of on the line between passive and not passive exhaust. I would really like to utilize CO2 but dont want to waste money. if I have explained my setup well enough, do you believe CO2 would be useful in my situation? thanks in advance, rep for this amazing grow, and happy new year.

a couple more weeks left of flower. they're looking good so far. i'm happy with both strains as far as quality but not really happy with the space queen in yield. hopefully they'll blow up over these last two weeks. here's some pic updates
Well done! Too bad I came in pretty late. I am growing space queen too as well. I have noticed that they don't bulk up until the last 2 weeks. They sure do start off slow then boom. Mine were from seed so I am not quite sure. I got 2 zips per plant at the first round which is good on my end. I am still learning. Loving the coloration of the purple leaves. Are these the result of using purple maxx?

By passive I meant passively vented through the lights. In this grow I suck air from the room through the lights and exhaust that. It keeps my lights cool but wouldn't be good for a co2 setup since you'd be expelling the co2 as it's being produced. That's what I was getting at. CO2 is useful in any situation if your room is setup for it. I just stopped using it because it was too much of a hassle in my grow spaces.

Do you know of a good site to order co2 bottles and controllers? what do u reccomend for controllers? Thanks
This is the controller I used the first time I ran co2
https://greenair.com/page/cdmc-6-installation-diagram.html
It worked great but was kind of pricey.

The second time I ran co2 I had sold my old controller and didn't want to reinvest so I went with this syringe tester.
http://www.bghydro.com/BGH/itemdesc.asp?ic=ACO2DETK&eq=&Tp=
It took me about 8 syringe pipets to get the room dialed in with a timer and regulator but once I did my co2 ppms stayed fairly steady. I tested every about once a week to make sure my ppms stayed steady throughout the grow.

The ideal setup would be a burner hooked up to that Green Air controller

I'm hoping mine bulk up during these last couple weeks too. They have put on some size and density since I last watered on December 24th. I wasn't sure if I'd be gone for the holidays so I watered them extra heavy. Checked in on them today and the coco was still pretty saturated. I'm guessing they'll need watering again on Thursday, possibly tomorrow.

The color results are definitely from the Purple Maxx. I've done Sour Grapes before and they usually get some purple but not as much as I'm getting this grow as without the product.

right, thank you for clearing that up! Im exhausting the same way but am thinking about adding ducting to the open side of my hood to just pull cool air from outside the tent, through the hood and back out the tent. my only concern is that the plants wouldnt be getting as much 'fresh' air but the CO2 should compensate for that. the best way to find out is to do it for sure, but thanks for the advice.

That's what I'm doing with my smaller grow. I have a Vortex fan pulling air from outside the tent and through the hood to cool the light. It's cold this time of year so instead of exhausting outside I'm exhausting that air to the rest of the house. Free heating. I have a Can Fan for bringing fresh air into the tent.
