400 watt MH flowering?

Hi, do you guys think that this bulb would be suitable for my flowering Jack Herer?

typically MH bulbs are used to veg rather than flower. if you want a light for flowering look towards a 400w hps instead.

Yea, thats what I have heard. On Lowes website it says that both hps and mh bubs both have mogul bases, does this mean that I can put a 400 w hps bulb in a 400 w mh fixture?

I have flowered with a 400 MH and the results paled in comparison when I switched to 400 HPS Conversion. Tight buds now. Very airy and fluffy with the MH.

And as for your MH/HPS interchangeable question, as far as I know MH lamps can be used with HPS ballasts, but HPS lamps cannot be used with HPS ballasts. You need a HPS conversion lamp for MH ballasts.
