Hi I was just wondering if using a 400 watt hps for SOG with 12 plants would be alright

Depends on the space you have it in. Plus you will need some supplemental CFL lights for some extra lumens. It can be done though, trust me i've seen it with my own eyes. I seen 18 sog plants under a 400w

im veggin like 10 under a 400watt in 2.5gallon pots. its pretty tight but 1gallons would have little trouble id imagine

Definitly. I started with 12 plants in 3 gallon containers in my tent. I knew after I sexed them and being my first time I could possibly kill 1 or 2. Well I'm flowering 9 and so far excellent results. I wish I had some side lighting, but overall they're growing vigorously. Check my journal....

How did you manage to get the plants that high in such small pots? Did you veg them, if so for how long? Or did you go from clone to flower?this was a 12/12 from seed with 15 plants under a 430 watt hps

SHEEEEEET! I just read those threads & Im considering changing my grow op in my cab after all that reading & seeing those pics but I just need to know what is the primary method of gaining tall lollipopped plants in such small pots such as the one below?

here is the key.
eacy plant will drink the same amount of water per day.
for my strain and lights about 1/4 gallon per day per plant.
now for the follow size pots:
10" pot water 1/2 gallon every other day. to 1 gallon every day at peek growth.
6" pot same volumn of water totle just given over 2x per day.
44oz cup 3x to 4x per day
16oz beer cups get a lot of water times.

Hmmmmm.... I fit 6 plants in my tent in 2 gallon buckets... and they grow to be about 3ft tall... I wonder if i should consider doing like 20 1 gallon plants with a short veg time... hmmmmmm a little sog... I wonder if my yield would be better. It seems pretty good for a homebox s with a 400, (6) 2 gallon babies I yield between 10-12 zips.... What do you all think? would the yield be greater if I tried that? sorry OP for asking in your thread

So do I need to force feed/water the plants instead of feeding/watering only when soil is dry?
Im planning on growing in 6 litre & 4 litre pots, if you were using the same pots how often would you feed/water them?
Lastly do you feed with every watering?

Do you add nutes to every watering?
With my mother plant I I add nutes at half strength every watering but what is your method?
