400 watt 2.5x2.5x5 bubbleicious and freebie grow

hey rickross. nice setup. + rep bud. i have some bubbleliscious i just ot from nirvana regs. i sproutd 4 and a few diff strains and lost em due to heatr malf. i have 2 new ones sprouted bout that size now. im subd. watching later rickross
 
Thanks hammer! Rep back at ya:) Sorry to hear bout ur bubbs:( thats what really burns me we have to expose out little guys to automated indoor conditions an mishaps like that are jus a matter of time meanwhile they could live happily outdoor:) one day itll be legal i hope..

Well i moved the fan back to the top of the box no filter an the temps are stayin at 82! So big improvement an thats a temp i can work with....im jus guna have to increase the flow through my filter......i also might duct the exhaust through the wall i have a feeling the ambient temp in the small closet the grow cab is in have a big effect on the interior temps and they rise quick..

81 is a desc temp. my room gets much hotter sometimes in the summer. but i have mi setup in a garage with a locked door on the room and a lok on the garage, so i can leave the room door open and other door loked. i can drop the temp fast that way. but i have to close flwer room just before lights go out. hopeful to get ac this summer. catch ya later rickross.

Smoke was great, not a lot of yield but I didn't veg very long. Had three different pheno's with three plants; flowered right at 8 weeks. Check out my journal for pics!
 
i was wonderinggg. wat freebies are the ones u got from nirvana?? where these the 1s they sent out a year or so ago?? i got sum from xmas a long time ago. they were unmarked. adn they said they werent sure wat they were. i grew 1.. and it was a fuckin monster... grewww wayyyyyyy too big. deff a sativa dom strain. but i never tried it again after that... adn ive been lookin for sum1 else to grow it out. ps. i grew out bubblicious. it was delicious! deff not a bubblegum taste.. but had a nice sweer taste.. sum nice KO power as well. you wont be disappointed

oo wow. lol. thats funny they gave out freebies THIS xmas too. hahaha. yeaa these were random too. and im up of the northern part. new england area.=) Boston.
 
Yea the viability of them was ok at best had alot never pop....but out of those a few are pretty vigerous an im lookin forward to see what they do:)....sweet im originally from alittle south of there:)

Look like the good ones are sativa dom, but still too early to tell. Make sure u soke them in water even use that match book wit the sandpaper trick to soften the shell. I feel like these are theyr surplus cheap seeds that sit around forever an they jus eventually decide to give them away. Not the best in my opinion, like night an day compared to the bubbs.

yea im sure there not cup winners or even qualifyers. prolly from experimenting and creating new strains. just the leftovers. lol but free is free to me.
 
little update....first two bubbs are doin very well...all the rest arent too far behind.....guna be a long but awesome few months:) :leaf:

hey rickross,
im diggin the setup. im not a pro when it comes to growing with HID lights. However i have dealt plenty of times with heat issues. My CFLs were split too many times with Y-splitters creating heat issues. You said earlier you wanted a target temp of 80...try getting the temp below 80 to around 76.
I wish i had looked into my chlorine levels during my last grow. My last bubble grow started about really slow, prob due to high temps and low number of bubbles. Could have been the chlorine levels, but i was filtering all my water using a brita filter. I heard zero water filters were even better. Buying gallon jugs works fine though.
I cant wait for these things to get into a solid veg state, where you see tremendous growth every day.

So what is your solution to the air movement issue you have run into?

Good to see ur on board:).....well as of right now my ac isnt running just the fan that runs house air through the vents so i figured if i could manage about 80 with 74degree air running in then once the ac is flipped on at 70degrees it would put me around 76 or so......but its jus too high so im guna grab that new fan an shoot for low 70s so i have some cushion...

Im runnin about 10k lumens worth of cfls right now sittin at about 72degrees an 50percent humidity.....they about tripled in size in the last 3 days an the rootballs probly quadrupled...the growth spurt is starting :) ill post up some pics later on

I would definitly go online and look up the water quality in your area they have pretty simple read outs of the levels of chlorine an chloramine an other things.....out of all the money ive spent the 7$ bottle of aquarium chlorine/chloramine remover has probly been my best investment:) also the more bubbles the better i have a double nozzle pump on each bucket with two 4inch airstones, its all about low temps an high O2 levels in ur res gives ur plants the advantage over the anerobic pests...

little update....hit the growth spurt grew this much in about 3 or 4 days....took what seemed like forever to setup roots but now that they have they are growing like wildfire:)

Sup rick? + REP on the setup. The roots on pic #3 look pretty good. How about a close up of them? Hows the temp issue?
 
Thanks guys! Probly doubled in size or more in the past few days:) super excited guna wait till i get enough plant material to top both an use the two tops as clones an start flowering those after they root......also might go with an external res jus for ease of chnging it.....one thing im sure of is im not sure of anything yet haha guna jus play it by ear....might keep the clones as mothers an flower the topped plants purely to have a better first yeild:)....pics to come
