400 W question

Hy guys again, I come to ask you something,
I have a small closet grow room. For now i have 2 florescent lights as you can see in the picture, and i have bought a 400 W MH light bulb. A friend of mine told me it would be too much light and it would damage the plants should i put it or not? And if yes, how close should i put it to the plants? My plants are about 1 month old, one of them, and the other 3 are 2 weeks old, but they are about the same size ... They have been lighted 24/24. Please tell me what should i do. I want to put the 400W MH 12h and the neons for another 6h while i`m not at home ... because i have to keep my closet closed. Would that cause much stress to my plants? How do they look, am i gonna have a good crop? Thx.

your plants will luv the mh in there veg state , keep the lite about 18 " above them and things should be cool , but heat may be a problem you wiil need exhuast fans to get rid of the hot air and you will probably want to switch to hps for flowering

what about the plants do they look healthy? The heat is no problem i have a big fan and i will keep the doors opened to my closet.

Get a thermometer and put that at the plant height closet to the light. That way you will know the hottest temp your plant is getting. That will also let you know if you should raise or lower your light.

Can u tell me the right temp in celcius?
