Upgraded my flower room from a bunch of cfls to a 400hps a week ago. Have 6 plants total in there now on a perpetual grow. While I haven't had the hps that long I can see the difference already.

Been using a 400 hps for over 2 decades.
Just worked on my grow room this summer and just started
New grow,seeds. But I use a 4x4 tent for flower, 400 hps.
I use a 2x2 for clones that has a 4 bulb T5 fixture.
Smoke is just for me and I never run out.
Just have to cut the bottoms off were the light is weak
And everything is cool.

I will show some pics when I figure it out.

I grew with a 250 in a cabinet for years too

Hello dyster, how far are keeping your plants from the light and is it a cool tube?
I'm just curious to hear from you since you have some exp under your belt from the sounds of it.

I have a sun system reflector air cooled with 4 inch duct.
Meaning it has glass at bottom to contain the heat of course.
I can go as close as 9 inches.
But I found 12 to 18 inches gives me my best coverage.
I like to stay around 12.

400 w hps with cool tube. 6 in ventec exhaust. Soil grow 3 gallon buckets. 4 weeks into flower. Two mystery plants (they were from bagseed). third grow.

Yep, topped while young and trained the rest of the way. Plus a 2 1/2 month veg time

I'm looking to get a grow tent for my 400w hps/mh setup.
I really like the gorilla shorty line. I'm looking at getting either the 2x4 or the 3x3

I'm leaning towards the 3x3 but it will be harder to make fit into place. I'm going to try to figure out a spot I can fit the 3x3 today. If not I will just have to get the 2x4.
