Does ur 396gph srpay a fine mist or is it pretty wet? I clean the blade and put in water after each cut till I'm done all my cuttings then put in cloner. I don't have a medium as I use discs. Ditch and replace? What if I fed my moms rootin hormon a day or 2 b4 I clone, that way it will be in the cutting? Will that help? Any other tips or ideas plz
I would definitely advise against feeding the mother any rooting hormones before taking your cuttings. I don't think it would accomplish anything, and might not be good for her. A pretty funny / interesting idea though brother...heheh.

Cleaning the blade between cuts is acceptable. I'd suggest using IPA (isopropyl alcohol) to clean it between cuts. And since you use discs and an aero cloner, I'd suggest using a gel type rooting compound. I think it will stick to your stems better than a liquid or powder when gettting misted...

I hope we've been able to help some dude... Good luck to you. I'm sure you'll just fine. And with time, cloning will become old hat to ya!! ;-)

I always use a VERY LIGHTLY nuted and pH'd water and have never once had a problem with root burn...I'm talking about the slightest amount of nutrients...

I disagree with the use of dirty blades or mediums, but to each their own, and if it works more power to you. I'm a firm believer in clean tools, mediums, containers, and grow room environment, etc. etc. It all makes a difference....some things more than others. :-)
I never said I do it often but I have any your right very small amouts wont but why waste it they don't need it untill you transplant out of the cloner, and you don't need to ph tap water it should be close. Clean mediums are a given I never said anything about dirty or contaminated mediums. Cleanliness is a great practice and helps every aspect of growing, but your going a little overboard. you don't need new blades every cut. A new blade every batch of cuttings is a good idea but not every individual cutting. And you don't need to clean the blades every cutting plants don't respond like we do to viruses and bacteria and their wounds heal so fast that infection isn't a big issue as long as you don't have mold on your blade.

I have played alot around with taking cuttings. They are very easy to do and very easy to f*ck up. A dirty blade wont make or break a cutting and there are alot better things I can spend my money on, time and resources than blades, nutes, and ph adjuster for clones that dont need them. Its just not economically practical is all I'm saying the slightly improved results don't justify the wasted resources
