It's definitely hard to tell. But I'm going to advise you to search for "nanners" in the buds. They won't be round more than likely but more banana shaped if it has developed pollen sacks in the buds.

It's REALLY common @ about this stage for things to change and the calyx's to begin to swell.

you can also try cutting one out and take it to a different room (where it can't effect the female's if it's pollen and bust it open. If it has pollen in it then you know. If it's just plant matter it's just a calyx beginning to form and swell.

These are the best my poor camera can take, I nipped of one of the banana lookers and sliced but didnt notice an amount of "pollen" - maybe a small amount of moisture.

Personally I feel these are male flowers, but if I am wrong then please tell me.

Do maturing calyx's look like this? Surely these are a male floer in the middle of the bud (hermie)

Againg really sorry for poor pix, hope these new ones help.

All please advise...

The blurry one on the far left looks like a nanner to me. Just pluck them off as you see them and keep on growin' brotha. That's really all you can do at this point.

for your information already disposed of 3 of my original 11 at the sight of these symptoms as a precautionary measure. better to be safe than sorry, may be very telling times for the remainder over next few days...

Live and let learn hey, I know for sure next time I am gonna be looking at the highest calibre of genetics for sure and will pay even closer attention to PH, luckily I had already cloned the beast-ess of my current crop so if she remains a she throughout the final weeks I know I am onto a good one by the looks of things.

Failing that I will be looking along the lines of F1 strains in future.

Like most of you I am only in this for my own smoke but at the same time want to get the absolute best out of my hobby.

I feel there could be more information out there for first timers on the likelyhood of hermaphrodites when using bagseed given their genetic disposition as I had to research for hours on this subject.

Likewise the amount of hermaphrodite images at varying stages of flowering are extremely scarce.

I sense a nice summary of all my findings upon completion of my first grow will be written and posted for fellow newcomers to engulf.

8 girls remain, 5 x bbc, 3 x bagseed, still live in hope of a nice first time yield.

Incidentally the 3 I terminated have been trimmed and are drying just for curiosities sake, I flash dired a bud and had a toke, yes that displays traits of the worst things you can do when aiming for a quality smoke, but hey, whyever not try my luck.

So the bud is way too young after only 4 1/2 weeks flowering, the plants were not flushed and as a result will contain nute traces, and finally I flash dried to test, but guess what? I got high, hell yea I got high, for the first time in my life I got high on my own grown. Doesnt taste lovely, smells mediocre but there is a chongable level of thc present thats for sure :)

Flash dried test bud over I am drying and curing the 3 hermies, their contents will definately will tick me over until my sweet cheeba is ready a month or so from now "touch wood".

Hello fellow rollitup members, I am in dire need of help.

I am on here multiple times each day, but have never posted, as I have never needed to.

I have a dire problem:

This is my first grow, I reseaqrched thoroughly prior to growing, along the lines of reading up to 4 hours per day online for a month, now the unexpected has struck and I really dont know what to do:

I have 11 girls, they are 4 weeks and 2 days into flower, 5 are big budda cheese, the other 6 are of unknown strains but appear to be sativa like under observation.

I have nursed these girls better than I nurse my own kids, paying careful attention to nutrients, light patterns, soil, ph, humidity, etc etc etc.

The situation is this:

48 hours ago the power to my growroom was cut, my normal light cycle is 12/12, the lights go on at 6pm and off at 6am.

The power was cut at 4am, and power returned at 6pm, (14 hours)

However I was unaware of this power cut, my timer only runs when there is power running to it, so although the power returned at 6pm, the light will have also come on at 6pm, but only for 2 hours, and then gone into another period of 12 hours of dark.

I only found this out today as I went to my grow room area at 5pm and the light was on!!!

On questioning of my household I was then informed of this 14 hour power cut.

Heres the big problem:

It looks like the light stress has caused at least 2 of my girls to hermie, small ball like growths have spurted out of the lovely thc coated bud.

What am I to do?

I know the options but dont know which is best to go for given my situation:

----------------------------------

1. Kill and dry anything that looks hermie

2. Go on a ball picking mission, anything that looks anything ball like is to be carefully removed (I will happily do this each day for the rest of grow)

3. Stick anything hermie looking in the back garden (live in uk)

4. Just leave them be, let the sacks infect the rest of crop and go on a seed picking mission at the end (dont like this one)

5. Any other options/advice?

----------------------------------------

Also light issue, when I found the grow-room light on today at 5pm, I immediately switched it off in fear of forcing re-vegging, but I am lost as to how to re-initiate my cycle in the best way.

The plants had 12 hours on, 12 hours off for 4 weeks, then due to f**k up had 12 hours on, 26 hours off, 2 hours on, 12 hours off, 6 hours on, and currently have been off for 5 hours.

Please please help guys, I will be frantically logging in here every 60 seconds till I get a reply.

Should I go straight back to 12/12 now and hope for the best (as in 12 hours of light as of now?) I need to reduce the possibility of the others going hermie too...

And what do I do with these potential hermies, the ones showing ball like spurts within the bud?

I will go now and try to get some pix but my camera is pretty poor

Eagerly awaiting your replies....
Did u quit growing because this is not for you g. There is no way in any scientific way your plant showed hermies within 24 hours no way in hell. 2nd, you caused a bigger problem thinking the plant may reveg when it got darkness not more light, therefore you miss diagnosed your issue, infact you had no issue, u panicked and created a issue. The plant got more darkness which is nothing new in nature, it's like a cloudy day it's nothing to panic over but here u came misdiagnosed your plant and you created more problems for yourself. Then u uploaded photos that don't work so
