4 week

just coming up to 4 week old and starting to shoot up now bit worried they look like they are stretching up but have lamp 16 inch away should i move closer? and can any one tell sex of them think they are all fem will post pics many thanx

They don't look stretched at all to me. They look great!

What kind of lamp?

400w hps thier between 4 and 6 inchs tall that about right? its my first grow so just learning the ropes

And do not move the hps closer :S - At this stage they are very fragile and excessive evaporation will surely kill them. - Using hps from start will generally make the plants stretch a bit but i view it as a plus when the plants moves onto the next stage

Oh, they may do some stretching if your vegging with just a hps lamp.

Get a daylight 42/45 Watt CFL to add some blue to your spectrum. Get two if you can. A MH would be ideal.

It will work with what you're doing, but in all likelihood you will get some stretching.

They also may mature quicker with all the red they're getting.

You may also get pre-flowers even before you get to 12-12.

have mh bulbs but they say (uv sheild )on them are they ok to use ?got them from a building i was working on thier new! and yes 4 week from germ ,many thanx for ur replies
