I noticed these spots about 2 days ago and just today they started really spreading.. Started on just 2 leaves, and now i see little ones popping up on about 7 or 8 leaves..

Plant is 4 weeks old, i have it in the sun during the day, and under 3 27 watt cfls during the rest of the day..

Ive had the plant under 24 hour lighting until about 3 days ago i switched it to 18/6 because people said it was better, and also that the switch wouldn't hurt it.

Is the switch of light the problem, or do i have a bug problem? Anything you know will be appreciated!! Thx
Sorry about pictures.. only camera i had right now

Are you using nutrients?
if the spots on the ends of the leaves become crispy, you could pinch the crisp off.
but those leaves seem to not be in such bad shape for you to be too worried. It does look though like you could use some new soil. just my opinion on that. But mainly are you fertilizing?

No i havent added any nutrients yet.. people said to wait longer, would you guys recomend adding some now? and no they arent crispy enough to crumble off yet, the brown spots are still soft like the rest of the leaf.

Feed with somethin simple, like a 10-10-10 or whatever u chose really, it looks as though they need it. Remember start at 1/4 strength.

I bought this "Dynamite" fert the other day but havent used any yet.. its one where you put the little balls on the soil and when you water it releases the nutes.. its a 18-6-8 tho, closest thing i could find to 20-5-5 which i heard is best to get. Should i add a bit of this next time i water?

And is the lighting change just a coincidence, or do you think it had an affect on the brown spots?

Well it sounds in order... The only suggestion I have is new soil. you can mix your own, or go to the local hardware store and pic up the pre-mixed stuff. Those usually have enough food for the plant for 3 months, and you may see a dramatic change in growth.

If you leave it in the soil, I see no reason you can't start it on a 1/2 or 1/4 Vegetation fert every other watering. It looks as though it could use a drink tomorrow or today, so see what you can do. Oh... and your light cycle is OK, and should not pose any problems.

that dynamite stuff should do the trick. Its high in N which is what u want for vegging, with decent P and K too. So ya, feed em next time u water 1/4 of that stuff, and it should be lookin better within a week or so. LUck.

So i watered with the nutes this morning but the brown spots continue to spread.. they are on about half the leaves now!!
Do the brown spots just mean it needs food or what? im so confused because i havent seen anybody else with these kind of spots, it has to be some kind of bug problem or something??
The plant is still growing but im worried that it will die if the whole thing is covered in these spots..
Any suggestions to what it might be, or what else i could do?

Should've asked u sooner, but what kind of soil are u using? long as it's not miracle gro ur probly fine for now, but ur gonna have to transplant them eventually. Also, u just barely fed em so have patience grasshopper. Keep an eye on the new growth, which should bescome nice and healthy. When u water, water till there's a little drainaige from the bottom of the pot, not much. Pick up the pot and feel the weight of it, get used to that weight. Don't water again until u pick up the pot and it feels empty. Feed once a week or every other watering.

Ya its not miracle grow.. its some kellog soil that i had at my house..
Ya i added the nutes and watered until it leaked out the bottom a bit.. but the ones im using are the little balls you drop on top of the soil.. should i just take them off the next time i water?

Ok, so ur nutes are the one's u just sprinkle on huh? In that case u wanna leve em on the soil. As u water they will break down and seep into the rootzone eventually feeding ur plants. I'd suggest getting a water soluble fert next time around though.
