Lets start with some basics and hard facts...
*Polyploid* cells and organisms are those containing more than two paired (hoemologous) sets of chromosomes.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyploid
No where does ploidy describe a tri leafed plant, some noob growers with little understanding of biology/genetics saw the word 'Tri' and grouped triploids and trifolates together. Ploidy is really very very very rare in cannabis but common in some other plants like pumpkins.
Once you understand the difference you can start ignoring all them douches that go on about it. This has been explained and said on many weed sites as fact, i cannot help that many noobs go on about ploidy and mix up easily google'able facts.
Whorlled phyllotaxy is also common in a few species but once again not mj. Youll find mj's leaf pattern to be symetrical or alternating.

The fact that i can find this info on a base reference site leaves a lot to be desired with growers that post alternate info which generally wreaks of bs!
There is a lot more but i think you need to first satitsfy yourself that you have a basic understanding of what ploidy is and isnt before we discuss how tri leafed seedlings and four nodes happen.
