4 gallons for 4 plants enough??

Hey guys,

Im gonna be starting my second grow soon, and i was thinking about picking up a hydroponic system to get it on with. I was looking for some decent buys and i came across this :

- This is pretty much what i need, as im constricted on space, and money, lol. I have a hydrohut mini (2x4x5) and i have all other equipment (lighting, ducting, ventilation, filter, ect..), but i think i wanna go hydro rather than soil. Is this system good enough to produce some nice big ass plants for the space provided? the price is nice, but im wondering if i need more than this. I dont have room for Ebb n Flow, so a DWC-esque system is what im shooting for. Any advice on what i should do, or things imight need before i pick this up??

Same thing, but a lot cheaper. This is what I use for growing my medicine and it works great. Although, I think two plants at the most is what I would grow in it, regardless if you buy this one or the one you posted.

im lookin to save space more than money. I am gonna grow between 8-12 plants depending on wether im goin dro or soil. the minimum is 8 though.

I like the 5 gallon bucket idea alot better. I bought the other setup and never used it. The res is way too small and the ph and ppm gets out of hand too easily. You dont have hardly enough root space to grow any size of yeild. Systems like those are very successful, however whatever you build make sure it is light proof and has a big enough root capacity

yeh, im gettin way too many mixed responses, n for someone as inexperienced as me, n with the seeds im about to grow, id rather play it safe this time n go with soil again, but only ima do it right this time. Ill play with dro when i move out and have plenty of clones to play around with n see what works for me n what dro setup would work best.

So soil it is for now. Its kinda relieving makin up my fuckin mind man, ive never been this indescisive in my whole life, lol.

So 8-10 plants in my small tent, 600w HPS/MH setup w/cooltube, ducting, and inline fan to cool it off, filter, exhaust fan, air intake fan, and 48" oscilating tower fan w/ionizer for extra scent protection. gettin 4 or 5 gall growbags, FF OF soil, FF growbig,bigbloom,tigerbloom, plus FF open Sesame,ChaChing,n Beastie Bloomz. Dont know if i need sledgehammer or not, ill wait n see though. Im setup man. Cant fuckin wait to piece everything together over the next week n start germin.

Just an update though - ive made my final descision. Im gonna do a soil vs hydro experiment, so i can figure out what i wanna do. Im gonna grow 7 or 8 soil plants, n then im gonna grow ONE hydroponically. I went up to home depot today to pick up some random equipment, and i checked out the garden section, n they actually had a Waterfarm 1 plant drip setup complete. actually, its THIS exact setup:

Only difference is, i got it for 15 fuckin bucks!!! they had 3 of them for sale, so i picked one up. So im gonna do one Waterfarm in the middle of all my soil girls, and see how much faster, bigger, n stronger the hydro grows opposed to the soil plants. The bucket has a 4gal res n 2gallon room for the netpot. Comes complete with waterpump, drip system, the whole nine. So well see how everything goes when i get them started.
