4 Days, and nothing...

I'm starting to get concerned... I have 24/7 light, in a pretty decent enclosure. It's been 4 days, and none of my plants have grown yet... How long does this usually take? Should I just throw it out the window?

Did you germinate the seeds first or just throw them in the soil? Either way you could end up waiting to close to a week. Give them some more time and keep the soil moist, but not drenched. Good luck!

Yes, I've been keeping the soil damp, I check it every 12 hours or so... I did germinate the seeds, check my photo gallery thing.

O.K. good. Just remember root down! All should be good though. Let us know in a few days how everything turned out.

I put my germinated seeds into 1/4 - 1/2 inch soil

I have 2 little pretty leaves up in 2 days

Keep the soil moist and around 80f

the little guys like it real warm and they need to breath so not too much moisture

Not really, the radicle (taproot) grows down in accordance to gravity, known as positive gravity, and the hypocotyl grows upwards according to gravity, known as negative gravity. Point is, taproot would grown down anyway, even if it is sideways.

Dont overwater just yet keep the florescent light almost touching the soil so the warmth calls to the plant.Make sure the pot is kept warm in a humid area.MAke sure you only planted about 1/4 deep and that you used good soil not some dollar store or yard dirt. Make sure you mixed perlite or verm in with it to keep it light and airy. Make sure you didnt pack soil down on the soil should just have brushed light soil over sprout.Tap root down is the best way so the seed doesnt have to turn and fight to get the leaves going upward as that slows growth.Good luck

Well, I got fed up and thought I had bad seeds, right? So I dig it up, and see the top starting to split and the rest of the whiteness come cleanly out... I did this with both plants... The first one I did that with, is now growing! The one side of the leaf got ripped though. The other side of the leaf is growing fine though. Is this going to hurt it? The other one is still kind of white on the bottom and hasn't shot up yet. If it doesn't grow, big deal. I thought they were dead anyway, haha.
