If you're meaning to slide them in to the center, that design won't work. Itd need a bracket that allows the whole strip to move within it.
Yeah I was thinking like a little clamp that can be loosened to slide the strip along depending on layout requirements.

Out of curiosity anyone have a link to a log using omega lights? I've been doing research on the Cobs because I thought the strips were out of budget
These is one just started I believe, early stages though.

But you probably wont find many at the moment. The web site only went up very recently. Its a new company from a grower who has helped the community plenty on here and just wants to provide efficiency at a good price.

You can look for any Samsung strip build/grow thread in the search bar though, there will be plenty of those. Its the same tech.

I did a search for samsung f series grow and found 50 light building logs, but only 1 grow log and it was incomplete

Yeah im just looking myself. Lots of build logs but not so many grow logs.

There's a dude called @Big Green Thumb who has some good grows with strips, you might have to rake through his post history.
I know there are loads of guys growing with strips but remembering the names or thread titles is another matter.

a sliding bracket on that 300w kit would be an awesome addition. Maybe as an extra so it can be used in a 3x3 as well as a 2x4.
3x3 is a bit tough - the best way with the 22" strips is to just widen the fixture and add a few more strips so instead of 24' x 19" you get it up to about 24 x 26 inches. that gives you just a 5-6 inch gap all the way round in a 3x3, which will fill in with light fairly well,

Ok new plan, I can order 6 samsung 3500k f strips and an lrs-200-24 for $110 shipped. I've also got about 100ft of 1x1x.25 aluminum angle sitting around in 10ft sticks. I have access to spools of wire, plug ends etc etc (dads retired electrician) would a 26" stick of that 1x1x.25 aluminum angle have enough mass to serve as a heatsink per strip?
