Oh okay i see . So the issue was the total cost of the Jacks . Riddleme uses the pro line and you have to order it .I saw it at a Nursery but it was 16 dollars think it was the 20-20-20 all purpose .I can say I haven't seen it for 10 dollars .
The only other orchid fert i have seen was by botanico.
Jack's makes an orchid special fertilizer that is 30-10-10.:joint:

so what is it then. I need some microbs so the Urea gets metabolized properly?
If your grow looks good (and it looks pretty good to me) as is then I wouldn't mess with it or change a thing (unless you want to experiment).:joint:

I have a tech from Sunshine who will call me back. An interesting tidbit though that I stumbled upon is the note I grabbed off the label of Botanicares cocogro, which is inert. Note the suggestion to use something organic. Also, the bacteria that starts this whole mess, per WIKI, can be found in fresh water and building surfaces. Fresh water meaning well water, rainwater, streams., not RO/distilled/tap. So apparantly these little buggers can sneak in and proliferate. But I hope there are these micro-buddies in the #4 mix.

Doc , I think those piks are the ones from his froggy soil grow
True, beneficial bacteria are ubiquitous. There is a product I'm going to try next grow called Great White. It contains a shitload of beneficials and mycorrhizae. It's definitely pricey ($40 a container) but the hydro shop guy swears by it (go figure). I'm going to do a soilless grow here soon and I'm gonna give it a try and do a side by side. It may be a good product to give you a boost of beneficials when using an inert medium. It may be pure and utter snake oil. I'll find out soon enough.bongsmilie

does your math include the fact that the $10 worth of fertz will last me another 200 or so buckets? lol

you calculate the $10 that I spent on the fertilizer into that $4/bucket math but it should be less than that. This $10 worth of fertilizer has lasted me a year already, and it will probably last another 2-3 years lol

just busting your balls a little bit don't get so butt hurt, we're all hear to learn man :]

I did so much shit wrong in my last grow the plants barley made it to harvest. I'm far from being as knowledgeable as I'd like to be, so I appreciate all input/criticisms/praises

When I started my white widows from seed i started with 10 NON-feminized seeds. 9 germed and out of those 9, 8 were female! Sometimes you get lucky.:weed:

Every feminized seed I've cracked from Serious Seeds has been 100% female. They are very good at what they do.

I have a 1000w that is about 6 inches away. It stays very very cool, I can almost touch the bulb with my hand and it won't burn at all.

I'll be switching to the bloom booster in about 2 weeks after the stretch ends. I think it's mostly the strain that is causing the stretch, but I could be wrong.
Hey Imaulle, I came to this party a little late, but here's my 2 cents worth; what a nice looking finish! A couple of questions for ya. What kind of light do you have that is cool enough to almost touch and the girls are only 6" below? I want one of them! also, how did you start em out, directly into the soil, 24 hr. lighting?
Once again, they really looked nice, fine job!
