Forgot to mention how great the canvas shopping bag work for airpruning when I transplanted I noticed almost zero circling roots and a very dense fibrous root mass filled with thousands of tiny roots that ended on the outside of the canvas

I wouldn't think the plastic on the light will affect much.
Depending on how bad it is and how much of the light it blocks.
I think that will be the major problem. Light blockage.
I would prob take the bulb out and try to clean or scrape it off the best I could like with a razorblade or fingernail. Just be very careful.
How are the DWC clones doing?

Soak the bulb in hot water with dawn dishsoap and scrap with fingertips, try not to get the metal in the water (seal off with saran wrap or something of the sort).

Thanks for the advice I will try to scrape it off before I turn the lights back on today.

I'm likely going to buy a new bulb sometime throughout flower anyways because I really want to try hortilux bulbs.

Debating whether or not I should throw a few autos outside and let the big plants veg out more. I know I will get a greater yield if I fill my tent up more. As of right now 50% of the tent is filled with autos.

The DWC clones are still alive but there is some yellowing ni the leaves. I think this is normal. I also was cleaning aroudn my area with a dilute bleach solution and accidentily got a little bit of the soution on the plants...I don't know if they will work but I'm determined to get cloning right. If this doesn't work I will try rapid rooters or jiffy plugs.

I noticed a few tiny root bumps on two of the clones which i s a good sign. I assuming the yellowing of the leaves mean that they are drawing the nutrients from the leaves.
I am eager to see if my two plants are still alive that have been outside for two and a half weeks. It's been raining every third day so I'm not worried about dryness just pests. I'm going to scout some new locations and hopefully dig some holes and put the two that are out there in. If the clones take I will be building a veg chamber and taking some more clones for outside. If not I'll have to rely on some of my spare seeds and give them a few week veg.

My goal is one ounce of outdoor grown bud. I know that seems small but I had three beautiful ladies outdoors last year that mysteriously were completely abliterated one random day I went to check on them. Uprooted and half eaten. I will hopefully be putting some chicken wire up eventually but that's in the future as funds are tight. I'm planning digging holes to fit about 10 gallons of my soil mix.

In other news, autos are doing great as are the other plants. I lst'd a bit more and will be doing a little bit more everyday until I achieve a decent enough coverage to begin flowering.

I'm hoping that's withing the next 8 days as I start work fulltime after that and won't be home to keep them on 20/4. Also I've gone through two times from homedepot and both wont work I have no clue why. It always shuts the light off on the proper time but never turns it back on. I've gone the last two grow switching it manually everyday, so probably about 200 days of switching it manually. Dedication..

The clones should take. They are turning yellow because they have not had any roots to feed from so they are drinking up all the stored nuted they have in them.
It took about 2 weeks for mine to show roots. But I also had them in rooter plugs. Should be about the same time frame.

I noticed something unique about the mexican sativa bagseed I'm growing. It originally started growing 1 set of leaves then 3 then instead of 5 it shot out 7 bladed leaves. I checked today and now the second set which were 3 bladed are 7 bladed and every set on the plant is 7 bladed.

So it goes like this.

Cotyledons
1 blade true leaves
7 blade true leaves
7 '' ''
7 '' ''
7 '' ''
7 '' ''
7 '' ''

Actually while reading this thread i noticed you need to flush the plants with water to avoid nutrient buildup not salt buildup. if you flush them a bit you will probably see them brighten up and look less droopy. how often are you watering? a good rule to live by with soil is how heavy the bucket is to pickup freshly water vs really dry. im not saying you NEED to because your plants look great but overfeeding will lead to harsh tastes. and imo they look a little overwatered obviously not enough to hurt anything

If you dont get a pound out of this ill be greatly surprised

I appreciate the thoughts, but as I stated a dozen times already, the plants are healthy. Poor quality pics, combined with sleepy plants makes it seem the other way around. I did have problems earlier in the grow but all plants are doing awesome now.

Day 62. tommorow is week 9 since the biggons sprouted. Not really keeping track of the autos but I'm sure if I looked back in the thread I could figure out how old they are. I'm guessing about a month since sprout or a little less.

I transplanted three of the 5 big ones as stated. I will hopefully be transplanting another one or both.

I plan on switching to flowering at around 10 weeks maybe a bit before or later depending on work schedule.

I did some majour lst in the past two days. Pics are kinda terrible but hope you enjoy.

Also, made a DIY air pruning pot for a few bucks.

Me too.

Would like some suggestions:

Going to finally dig and fill holes with some soil outdoors tommorow. Haven't seen my tow ladies in two weeks so hoping that they are ok. If they are, I will put them in the ground. I'm bringing one more out for now but I was wondering if I should bring an autoflower or two out or are they better off growing under the 1k hps. They are about 20 days old and range from 6-10 inches, all doing excellent. Haven't fed them yet and don't intend to untill late in there life or if they show deficiencies.

Also wondering if I should switch to 18/6 for the last week or so of veg to make the transition easier. It's on 20/4 right now. Will 18/6 allow the branches to stretch a little so I can cover more space?

most soils do have enough nutrients for a couple of weeks to a month at least :) 1k should be plenty of light :) i always had my timer 18/6 when vegging :) happy growing :) and when planting in the ground always remember to replace the soil its always better unless you know you got good soil :) it will alway pay off replacing soil. huge rewards :)

I usually run mine on 18/6 all the way thru veg and then just flip to 12/12
You can work down to 12/12 but I personally don't see a need for it.

Yah I really just did 20/4 due to the hours I would be around to flip them on and off. I will start 18/6 tommorow and try to get some pics if I get my plants in the ground if they are alive.

Pick up a timer for like $5 bucks and it will save ya the headache of having to always be there to flip on and off.
