3ft Tall at 3 weeks flower - Any advice please

My girls (4 x AK-48 ) are about 3ft tall at day 25 of flower, and i'm starting to worry that they are gonna become just too big. They have 5-6 weeks left, and am worried i'm going to run out of room, and have problems with light penetrating lower down.

I'm guessing that Mary J slows down towards the end to put it's energy into the budding process?? Am I right??

This is my first real grow and would hate to see all my efforts wasted by over looking something so any pointers would be appreciated.

For full spec see: https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/462332-first-seed-grow-diy-cfl.html

PS - still can't use my home made side lighting dues to the heatwave killing temps

you can always supercrop if you get too worried about height..often will push you back a week if timing is of the most importance. good luck!

you probably have got most of the stretch out of the way by week 3. They shouldnt grow up too much more.... imo. wait for other, more experienced, input.

AK48 is mostly indica, it will slow down in vertical growth soon, esp since you're that far into flowering. That's just Mary reaching out for a male to pollinate her. Your only really choices are trying to bend her over a bit, finding a new grow area, or finding a way to move the lights to around the plant only...you don't wanna top her at this point of course.

That's what I thought, too late in the day for anything drastic like chopping. I think I have about 20" left, so providing they slow down I should be fine (they grew about 22" in first 3 weeks of flower).

The clones that are currently vegging will be going in earlier and with some LST.

Thanks for all your help :)

And also looking at the weather forecast the temperature drop will mean i'll be able to put the side lights on, an extra 3000 lumens on each side (60% more then they have had so far), and because they are low wattage CFL's, they produce very little heat and can be extremely close to the plants.... Happy Days!
