Hey what's up guys and this is a late post since I've already started a grow but I have a 3x2x5 mylar lined closet with one 240cfm can fan, for lighting I have 2 UFO LED's from Alibaba. They're 60 3-watt bulbs to "180" watts each but really pulling only 109 each. 430-440nm, 450-475nm, 620-630nm, 610nm, 650-670nm, 720-730nm (IR), amd white frequencies.
I also have a 2ft 4 bulb HO T5 with 3 2700K bulbs and one 6500K bulb 24 watts each for a total of 96 watts. So 314 true watts total but I only have 2 bulbs on the T5 running cause of heat issues, with temps between 82-86. I have a small fan blowing on the T5 cause it does get hot.
I have the LED's about 12-14 inches from tops of plants and the T5 hung on the side of the plants for side lighting about 6 inches from the plants.
So my question is... How can I maximize lighting in my closet? I tried having the T5 about 4 inches from the tops of the plants before and the UFO's as side lighting but the closet is actually only 20 inches deep so it was burning my plants. Any other suggestions on maximizing the lighting in here? And I'm also curious as to how I should grow with these lights. I am running a 3.5gal DWC with 2gal of res and 6 inch net pots and 2 other
pots of Roots Organic to see which I liked better but I'm gonna stick with DWC, loving it so far. I'm gonna transplant the 2 from coco to buckets when they show sex (which should be any day now).
