hello everyone...its been a while since ive done a journal..

so I picked up this aeroflo in a exchange for a purps mother. Let the fun begin.

its my first time doing aeroponics, been soil growing with great success since October.

strain: platinum bubba kush

equipment:
36 site aeroflo
2 1/4 HP water chillers
40gal res
tri-meter
DR150 secret jardin grow tent
1000W Hydrofarm ballast
Hortilux bulb
Radiant8 Hydrofarm hood
8'' can fan
ice-box chiller(i'll be getting this in the middle of the week)

nutes: (i need more i know)
sensi grow part a
sensi bloom part a and b
voodoo juice

right now my ppm's are at 550, pH is 5.7, and water temp is 80˚(as soon as the i get the chiller going the water temp will stay at 70˚

Im new to aeroponics so if you have any advice give it up!! feel free to comment, hate, get jealous, or whatever....HAPPY GROWING!!!!

how high should the water level in my tubes be?

I have it currently touching the bottom of the baskets.

I run the 60 site aeroflo, and I normally keep the water level a little below the baskets, then after a couple weeks i put the drain tubes pretty much all the way down. Oh and also after a about a month you might find yourself filling the 40 gallon res everyother day. The plants will suck down water.

I remember seeing some of your other grows. I'm sure this will turn out as well as those. Good Luck! :hump:
well thank you sir..

so i re-adjusted my laser lines..I think i need to order some new ones because some of them are warped(probably from being left out in the sun). most of the water streams are hitting the top surface of the water against the opposite wall. The water level is now about an inch under the baskets.

I love this aeroponic stuff..

Sweet, another Ice Box grower! Got two myself for my thou'ees. I fucked up though and got only one 1/4 hp chiller for 2 lights. It doens't keep the res cool enough to completely keep temperatures in total control, but luckily I don't have to worry about ridiculous temps too often anyway. The highest I've seen it get is 84, and that was on a 101 degree day. Based on what your list says, you've got one chiller for the res, and one for the lights/icebox? Sounds like you've done your homework. Good luck man. I haven't the balls for an aeroflow setup. With my luck, there'd be a power outage while I went out for one day, and I'd come back to a completely dead crop. Good luck.

Yes, you have to have one for the ice box, and in your case (aeroflow), one for your resevoir. You are only using one 1000HPS right? If so, you'll be fine with the two chillers you have. Their website (hydro innovations) says to allow 1/4 HP for each 1000 watt light. So, if you plan to add another light anytime in the future, you may want to just take back one of the 1/4HP chillers now, and exchange it for a 1/2 HP one instead. If not, you're sure to have success with what you have already anyway.

WHATS UP SMOKEY, yeah i got the icebox too and tryed to cool my 1000watter uesing the 1/10 hp chiller..didnt work....got to have the 1/4 at least....but those fucken chillers use alot of watts i think the 1/10hp uses close to 300watts..so im not use my icebox at the moment..MEANGREEN.
