30w for 10x8x26"?

Micro grow trash can. Using 2 x 15w 1500lumen 2700k bulbs. Should this suffice? Going to put 4 plants in here, in either 16oz cup, 1L , or even 1 gallon(4fit)

I have a speaker box that's 14x8x24. I had 60w of led bulbs in it and pulled 2 oz out of it regularly...probably coulda gone with 50w. I now have 28w of cob leds in it, pulling about 1.5- 1.75 oz out of it.

I'd recommend going with 40w or so of led bulbs. They're so much better then cfls. You didn't specify cfl or led bulbs. Otherwise your box will be good for veg, but less then optimal for flowering.

It is for flowering. I am talking about the new 15w LED screw in bulbs. I am going to scrap that Idea and run 2 vero 29's at 50w( flower), and 30w veg

Only $70 bucks for both, and I have my flower trash bin setup. Now need to find something micro sized to put clones/veg in.

I am going to run 2-4 micro plants at most. Did you get 2 oz out of a single plant?

Not sure you have the height for 50 watts, might be a bit too intense, guess we'll find out...
Am at 30 watts and 16 inch height with Vero 18s, you might need more distance.

Running veg with Vero 13s at 350mA, so low they don't even warm up heatsinks, working on jumping up to 700mA with them and should be about right. They are 24 inches from floor, soil line is about 6 inches high, leaving plants a foot in which to grow and be trained. They like it, but feel it would be even better with the higher current eventually.

I found out that if I run 10 of the smaller cree xml2 with a 700ma driver, they dont even get warm. I can literally stick them on the lid of my grow box with tape ( testing it day 4, no problems ), and they produce roughly 20w of pure led power. I can add another 2 for 24w in 1 second and $6 bucks later if i need a few more watts.

Is this the way you would go vs 1 single vero producing more heat? Im very surprised that these produce 0 heat at all. Hot glue, or double stick tape and I can mount them flush to give me 26" pure height.

Sure, that way is good, those new quantum boards look interesting also (lot of little ones on panel).

Just warning about dropping 50 watt energy where it can overpower.
The Vero 29s are fine but run them at 500 to 700 mA and you can use smaller heatsinks and still stay cool.
At 50 watts they generate about 28 of it in heat, but at 700 mA they only generate 13 watts heat to get rid of.

Still waiting to see where this concept goes but am all for it...

Perfect, thank you. I am thinking about putting my 2-4 clones/2 week veg plants in the smallest container they will fit in , with top bin leds such as xml2 at the top. Like a 8"x8"x12" very large tupperware. With a setup like this, 10-20w is perfect, until they move into flower container. Do I still need a intake/exhaust? Like a passive intake hole with 40mm fan?
