I'm hydro

I use Raid's organic bug spray, it's made with chrysanthemum extract and canola oil or something.

Look on Ebay for carbon filters. You can find some deals that are almost as cheap as you could build it yourself for

I want to start LST'ing my durban and strawberry. These are going to be very large sativas. I do have a 8foot ceiling though, lol.. Is it too soon to start bending and training? Also, they're in 1 gallon pots, should I transplant in bigger pots before I start LSTing them? If so at what point is it okay to place them in larger pots? My gut tells me a week transfer 3 of them to 3 gallons.. And the other 3 I want as mothers in 5 gallons..
I swear the last pic, my SC shes grown twice the size in 5 days. Gonna be a big sativa.. I love the way SC tastes!!

Do these burn up fans? I need something to control my fans according to the temperature. At night its been getting really cold.. So I want the fan to turn off or "dim" when the temperature drops to a certain point, and turn on when heats up..? This looks sweet I saw on another thread, but someone commented they burn up fan motors....???

I posted in the other thread....but ya need to check tha amp rating to see if it can handle the draw off two fans. Check the amps on your fans and see if it will work. And just because it says its rated at 12 amps doesnt mean it can run that 24/7 i think 10 amps on a 12 rated is max.

Just noticed in you product spec that it is rated for 6 amps, thats pretty weak. I think our fans pull around 4-5 but you have to check your fan

Did you get the fan wired yet? I just noticed that post. Looks like it's the standard black green and white plug. Go to Ace and you can get a 9' cord for like $10 that wires right up. Had to do that with a couple of mine.

And neither my DP or SC got very tall.

My cat topped the DP so it's bushy

the SC only got to veg for a couple weeks and is basically a solid nug.

So my gnat invasion is worse than I thought. I went to the hydroshack and dude sold me some mite rid. He recommended me to use it next time I feed. These fuckers are in my soil. I hope doesn't harm my plants though? Anyone use this stuff? And whats a mls? Is that 1 drop?

Mls is just probably the plural of ml or milliliter. I doubt it will hurt your plants either. That'd be pretty bad help from the dude in the store if he gives you some shit that kills your plants along with the bugs!

I had some fruit fly/gnat things that I wiped out with Raid's Earth Options line. All organic bug killer.

1K later and the grow has barely begun! A decent harvest or two and you'll be out of the red, smoking dank green, on top of the world!

I goggled the Raid's Earth Options line and its a spray.. I need something to rid of the larva in the soil, the guy at the hydro store said they've found fucking worms in the soil I use. I'm going to let the soil get nearly bone dry, then attack with the mite rid, if it doesn't work I'll try something else? Maybe hydro.... LOL
I am going to be transplanting here soon, I have another bag of the Roots Organic, can I treat the soil before hand? Or just treat after transplant? Hate bugs! Come winter I'll leave the bag outside overnight, negative temperatures will kill anything in there pretty sure...

Yea that's why the beetle kill spread so rampantly. The temps never got cold enough to kill em. Ha maybe through your soil in your freezer? That ought to do the trick

Looking good, taking that extra step will save your ass in the long run. I have had so many spills, its nice having plastic on the floor, just wipe it up. When i was construcing my room i sprayed bud barrier down in the corners and along the walls to help seal the bugs out. If ya have a chance its a good thing to do before plants go in.

Already 1000 bucks, thats not bad, I bet you find out thats only the half way point. I spent close to 2000 before to long. Keep it up it will pay itself off trust me!

Oh yeah, before I layed the poly down I sprayed big time. I love a clean grow room, I'm very particular about my shit, LOL. And yes I figured another $1000 to go.. But yeah long run will pay off.. This time next year hopefully be on my third to fourth run.. NOT wasting my money at the dispensery, although I'll miss my hot budtender.. :)

Okay, so I am getting the light today, which is it, blow air in the light and exhaust out, or suck hot air out the cool tube? I thought blow cool air in, but others suggest opposite.. I'm confused.

I have mine.....

Carbon filter>>>>>light>>>>fan>>>>>>outside

and for intake just a hole......drawing air from your room will create negative pressure forcing air back in. If you feel that isnt enough comming in you can add a smaller fan. You always want your intake cfm smaller than your exaust so you will have negative pressure which helps odors from leaking out.
