Here is my plan for today:
-Leaving plants in there current res for now
-Ive got a RO system coming in the mail, plan on installing that.
-I just created a new permanent resevoir for the plants. This one does not have a water level. I began to question if that water level is what is causing light leak and algae problems. Not sure how other people handle this but I am going to just not use one this time.
-I bought new nutrients, the Dyna-Grow series, they will be in the mail today as well. I am not sure if maybe I contaminated my current nutrients since I had been using syringes to pull nutrients from the bottles directly. After I injected the nutrients into the res I was then pulling in res water to clean the left over nutrients from the syringes.
-Is it even possible to contaminate the nutrient bottles? Can algae, bacteria live in the highly concentrated nutrient bottle?
-My hydrozyme is coming today too so I'll probably add that to the current res while I am preparing the new stuff.
-My last issue is what to do with the current plants, net pots, and hydroton. Will they just contaminate my new res since I am moving them to it. Should I just go ahead and cut the nasty roots off before putting them into the new res. Maybe I should just throw all this shit out and start over from seed again?
