Now I was wondering for efficiency, Autos maximum is 3, how many plants would you recommend for photo plants with a 12/12 schedule in the given specs, as they get bigger than autos, (landrace sativas to be more specific) and will a CFL do it fine? Feel free to advice if any changes is needed for the current specification.
Reason being the ventilation and budget as a 150w HPS would have been brilliant if not for the heat as Im also unable to work around much with the ventilation issue.
Or will it be pointless trying to grow it in the above spec and consider another option.
Any advice , opinion would be appreciated.

I'm using four CFLs that are 100w or more. My grow area is a closet, so I have a little more space. I also can't use an HID because of heat. I think you could grow at least three, maybe four regular sativa plants in there if you keep them pruned low. I used approximately the same wattage you're using and my plants did OK, although the buds I got were pretty airy. Do you plan to line the inside with some kind of reflective material? Anyway, good luck with your microgrow.

Throw some lower wattage side lights for the best results, You can get 4 nice sativas in there, just remember they like to get TALL. You can fix that by FIMing and LSTing or SCROGing. Those lights will put off a good little bit of heat, and they are concentrated areas of light. It'll be harder to keep your plants within optimal distance from those lights, and they are much less "forgiving" than their lower wattage counterparts. Make sure you cool those lights, and make sure you can raise them easily!

If you did a nice 12/12 from seed, you could put 6 in there, but, that's going to be pushing it a LOT.

Thanks itecato and minne, Well Itecato yes was planning on mylar for reflection and minne yes, heat is actually a plus during the cold months,, 6 would be brilliant but sadly smell is a factor, dont want it to be stinking way too much either.
Glad to hear the minimum is 3, I dont even mind the ladies can give out atleast one main cola as its a 12/12 grow, but if Im wrong please correct me, doesnt topping sativas in a small (optimum efficient) grow area make them harder to manage under a main single light source?
Tnx
