3 weeks into flower. Looking great! Vertical growth question.

So this is why it grows so good outdoors back home, the temps. oh but it gets to 110 f back home, the 15 foot plants must not be equipped with a thermometer.

As long as I have kept them watered, I have seen no signs of stress. I had wondered about the leaves curling up. I wasn't sure if it was heat or too much light. The ones curling are under a 600 w. I'm leaning towards light because the two ladies under the 400w are not doing this. My tomatoes kicked ass this year when it was 110 out, but they required a HUGE amount of water.

OMG! I'm talking indoors. THIS IS THE INDOOR GROWING SECTION!!! CHRIST do whatever you want!! crap on the theory! OF COURSE Cannabis can survive in temperatures ranging from freezing to 100 degrees but such extremes will slow growth and lower potency.

With normal levels of CO2, in a well vented space, 90 degrees would seem to be the absolute max, while 85 may be closer to optimum, even with a great deal of light available. Do not let the room temperature get over 35 C (95 F) as this hurts growth. Optimal temperature is 25-30 C (77-86 F) if you have strong light with no CO2 enrichment. Less than 21 C (70 F) is too cold for good growth.

Studies indicate the potency of buds goes down as the temperature goes up, so it is important to see that the plants do not get too hot during flowering cycles.

OHHH YEAH! Just got home from vacation.

I literally had nothing grow higher than the canopy height from when I left!!! Some of the side shoots came up to meet the canopy, but the ladies that were tied stayed in place and just fattened up.

What a difference a week makes! My poor ladies were dehydrated, but they filled out significantly, grew tons of trichs, now have a SUPER strong smell, and look happy after a night of soaking up some water.

My lights are now officially on the highest notch, but I'll be home to monitor them daily.

I did have one bud that was bleached along with its leaves. I tied her down tighter and rotated the plant.

Tomorrow for sure. Last day of vacation. Might as well spend the day with the ladies since the wifey is at work

wow!! Looking so good, I'm coming up on my 4th week of flowering and my buds look nothing like that, I got a bagseed(first grow) with cfls but I think I have slow bud development cuz mine was getting to tall so I trained her too a scrog for the first 2 week stretch of flowering, but there getting crystaly as hell and reallyyyyyyy potent, but no good size colas yet....ur ladies are gonna swell up like donkey dicks!!!

Hard to get a good picture in 1000 watts of HPS lighting!!!! They're looking nice. The COLA on the PE is comparable to a couple pop cans stacked up. I also tied over the Mazar today. I had to tighten 5 of the tied down branches down further. One was bleaching so I didn't want to risk the others at the same height.

The easiest way to deal with your heat issue is to have your lights on at night instead of day, when ambient temps are lower. This should lower your room temps at least 5 degrees.

For sure. This was a no brainer that I goofed. I had a big "OH DUH!" moment a couple weeks into flower, but I was afraid it was too late to switch them up. I have a new set of clones (1 week into veg) They're on 18/6 and the 6 off is during the day so I can easily transition the 12/12 to be off during the day.

You can just leave them in 24 hrs of dark for one day with no harm to get to the lights at night schedule.

Although I'm sure this would work I just can't bring myself to do it! ha ha

It's my first crop so experimenting too much scares me! My next round will be in the sun at night!
