3 weeks in, need some help

First off this site has been a great source of information, and fun to read. im new to growing and now i am seeking some expertise. i think i messed up my soil. heres the details:

i have a stealth grow out of a converted dresser, its just a nice sketch cab with a lock on it. I have holes drilled in the bottom and running three 15w fans out of a rackmount server tower. also have a small fan blowing very gently on the plants. sounds like a jet engine when i turn everything on. the crappy thing is, i only have 4 150 equiv CFLS from walmart @ 3.75in from the top of my plants. i'm investing in some new lighting(HPS/MH) and a grow tent in two weeks, so my setup will be changing, and i'm sure ill come up with more questions.

My water is good, i run it through a carbon filter, and let it sit out for a full day, for good measure.

So heres the big problem:
i cheaped out on soil, should have listened to everyone who had bad things to say about MG. Basically i used MG seed starter N=.05 P=.01 K =.05. the plants shot up from the seed really REALLY fast, it was exciting to watch..... until my seed leaves on every plant turned yellow. i havent gotten too much growth on my older plan(planted after germination on dec 24).

im assuming i have nute burn from reading other posts. My little friends are in solo cups with drainage holes in the bottom, the root system looks like its solid(confirm?) and i think its about time to transplant.

So, what should i do during my transplant? I want to make sure i get the soil right this time, and get them into new soil before its too late. thanks and show me the ways oh wise ones!

MG is horrible bro. get foxfarm or an organic mixture. MG usually has ferts that last for 6 months. it's just too much for the little guys. they need to focus on root growth right now not foliage and height.

i wont be going with MG again, but this is stuff is just their seed starter, not full blown MG. is it safe to jump straight to foxfarm from what i have now?

Yes. You need to get them out of the clear cups asap. I doubt you have much of a root system right now, so it is a good time. Get some Fox Farms Ocean Forest and some dark (no light) pots (think 1 gallon for now) Eventually you will want a gallon of soil for every foot of plant. When you make the conversion move as little of the MG as you can. Water the new pots. Good luck! We'll see you soon.

no, its not... theres a story behind the name. i was about 14 and lighting off bottle rockets by a community college.. there was a really cool body of water off the side of the property, and we were lighting them into the water and watching the water fly up into the air....out of nowhere i hear HEY STOP THAT!!!! my 14 year old impulse was to RUNNNN... and eventually i got caught by "schad security". seeing the name on the officers uniform i told the officer my name was justin schaad...needless to say he didnt believe me and confiscated my bottle rockets.

but thanks for the advice, i will def step it up to 1 gallon pots and some fox farm ocean forest. i duct tapted the sides of the clear plastic containers, until i get to the store tomorrow. Thanks again!

update on a little bit of work: i switched my plants to the larger section of the cabinet(im def going to redesign the system this weekend) i have it lined in mylar, i got a new temp/ humidity gauge. im at 84 and 20% humidity. Havent checked temp/hum for the whole grow, just assumed everything was going well(big mistake). the other picture is the root system for the yellow-green plant previously pictured. its on the wilty side. ive been watering all of them every third day, or until all moisture was gone. would it help to put on some type of humidity dome?
