As some of you guys will know but for those who don't this is my first grow 10 plants chronic kush and amnesia haze under 4 x 600 w.. been a total noon I've had many problems throughout but I think all my hard work has paid off!! The buds seem to to be drying nice some of the heads are like 3ft tall with thick condensed crystaly bud!!

I've read a lot about drying and how long it takes!! My dry room temp is about 70f with humidity levels at 50% and that's without my dehumidifier running, the leaves seem to be crispy, and the outside of the buds seem a lot drier but the stalks are still bendy, how long should I leave them before crop?

I dry until the outside of the bud feels crisp yet sticky but when squeezed, you can tell there is a little moisture left inside. A nice slow 7-10 day dry is the most important part of the entire process in my opinion as it relates to the final product......................I would pull those big fan leaves too once they start feeling crispy. Some of them still look pretty wet though.

I think your temps are ok. Typically I like to keep mine under 70 to really get that slow dry but 70 is just fine and your humidity is right where I like to keep mine also -- 45-55. It's looking really nice man. I bet you're pretty stoked.

Haha yeah after all the you put into it but the experienced I've gained is what's important to me, I know I can grow now, it's just a case of improving over time, I can't wait to get the next one going.

This is very good information. I wouldn't go by days as I can't physically see how big your buds are but you can squeeze them to get a feel of it.

at 50% humidity, i would not let it dry more that 5 days before starting the cure. Mason jars on day 5, one weeks later, open and spread out buds on a single layer and dry for additional 6 - 12 hours at 50% humidity then jar again. When I have a lot to dry at the same time I use large rubbermaid containers. I can even fit a large hygrometer in there and keep an eye on humidity.

Really appreciate the info Bro! After feeling my plants today most of the outsides are crispy and sticky in the middle so I'm gonna take all the leafs off today then tomoz (day 5) I'm gonna crop and put the buds in tubs for the final stage of drying before it all goes into jars for curing!! Because my humidity been pretty low at around 45% 55 tops!! I think my buds dried out a lot faster!! I havnt even had to use my dehumidifier. .

Nice take man, especially if its your first grow. Your temps and humidity seem fine. Myself I go straight from hanging until the buds feel a bit dry on the outside then straight into jars from there.
Real nice job there !

I like to use this method:

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=156237
https://www.rollitup.org/t/a-perfect-cure-every-time.514841/

Basically when you think its dry put it in a jar for 24 hours or less. If RH is over 65% dry outside the jar for another 12 hours or so. The only catch is the buds need to me trimmed and ready to be jarred. Anyway good simple info on those links. Its the same guy, I just like the write up on ICMAG a little better.
Keep em Green!
Cheers dude.. I just cropped one of my small plants that seemed dryer than the others.. I havnt got any scales buy my eye tells me there's a good few ounce here and I havnt cropped any of the bottoms yet!! What do u think?
